"Miles" only going to #54 is dumb.

it's Phillip Phillips, so you know it's bad. But I haven't built up the hate to this song through overplay like with "Home" and "Gone x3"

Sorry it took this long for me to catch up, but here are my opinions on every song done so far. 100 Listening to this for the first time, I think I get why this is at 100, given this sounds like what would happen if Pumped Up Kicks was a clunky feel-good song with a FAR less ignorable whistle, plus a repetition hook and some asinine lyrics to boot! 99 Why is this boring nothing that sounds like they tried to make Have It All by Jason Mraz a full 5 years before that song existed this low? 98 Why does the guy singing this sound like Bart Baker? And why do these songs sound so goddamn clunky? 97 Um, if you say you're a Wild Child, why didn't you make the song wild so you can actually back up your statement? And why do you sound so screechy? 96 What even is this thing? 95 The only thing I have to say is RIP Jack Johnson's feet unless he used a green screen for this video. 94 Who thought making lyrics comparing love to war is a good idea? Did these guys get inspiration from this? www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9204lvS2Qw 93 Why is this reminding me of Sweet Home Alabama of all things? But anyway, this doesn't belong here. 92 I mean, John Mayer is John Mayer. What else do i have to say besides that? 91 I think the fact boring, bland empowerment anthems don't anger me as much as I've seen them anger others is the entire reason why I more forget this song exists than outright hating it, well other than the obvious thing. 90 The only reason why i know these guys exist is because Spectrum Pulse name-dropped them when he talked about Simple by Florida Georgia Line in his best of 2018 list. 89 Why is this so loud? 88 This sounds like something that probably would have worked if it was a R&B jam rather than a acoustic guitar song, or if John Mayer was a charismatic enough performer that he could pull this off. 87 This sounds like if Castle On The Hill was a song where a guy outright says to the girl that they're not gonna love each other because he doesn't want to get his heart broken. Thanks you little douche! 86 same as 89, even if this sounds a little bit like Anyone by Jon Bellion ft Justin Bieber.

For #86, the lyrics are just strange: "I'll love you long after you're gone" - sounds like he's saying "Yeah, you will die before me and I know that certainly".
And between "See the World" and "Wild Child", why does this guy sound like the kind of person who will immediately lecture you about getting off your phone and how great going into secluded areas without restrooms once a week is.
"Brave" also really badly pales in comparison to "Love Song"

{WORD WALLS HAVE RETURNED}#100: You know your song is bad when you have me yearning for Godsmack. #99: I may have only ranked this two spots higher than "I'm Alive", but it's tolerable in a way "I'm Alive" isn't. #98: I still don't think that this is all that bad (not #100 bad, not on that list), but, I mean, it's Matt & Kim. It's not like I expected quality. #97: Not a bad sounding song, but wooooooof, Brett's vocals are like nails on a chalkboard here. #96: So, apparently, they have worse songs than this. Dear god. #95: So boring that it insults my intelligence. #94: Better than the other one, tbh, but I never expected the other one to be lower, anyway. #93: Musically not a bad song, but fuck Eric Clapton. #92: Not a great sign when this is the second time now I've preferred this multiple songs artist's song to the other one, but there wasn't much separating these two, and they're kind of both lame, anyway. #91: Every time I see that thumbnail, I giggle, and I don't think that's supposed to be the reaction I should have. #90: And speaking of thumbnails, wtf #89: Well, this definitely exists. #88: John Mayer is like day old milk: Not bad enough to do that much damage to you, but just bad enough that you'll feel it in the morning. #87: That first lyric, holy crap. Everything else about the song is fine. #86: I've heard this song so much lately that, despite not being a bad song, I never, ever, ever want to hear it again. Given who all submitted, I would have been more surprised if my #99 didn't escape the bottom 15...but man, I hope it doesn't go too much further.

idk why I'm fine with Gone, Gone, Gone when I don't like any of Phillip Phillips's other output and it like objectively sounds the same.

100: LMAO not my #22 of "I'm Alive (Life Sounds Like)" already showing up as the #100. This was fun and I really enjoyed this. Bummer to see this show up already and with 6 #100s. 99: LMAO not my #32 of "Life Is Better With You" and me being the highest ranker once again for another Michael Franti & Spearhead showing up. lmaoo I'm gonna feel so out of place here. I enjoyed this too but hope my lower ranks can start to show up. At least no #100s here, lol. - Interesting how "Let's Go" ranked so low without any #99s or #100s rankings. This was my #69 so I'm okay'ish with this showing up. Also fine with "Wild Child" my #72 showing up at #97. 96. Whoa at how polarizing "Walk off the Earth" is with getting a #8 and then 9 #100s? Dangg that's insane but impressive it got to #96. Oooh dang, this was my #29 so ugh I'm bummed it showed up already. Had no idea it was this disliked. 95. "I Got You" was nice but also kinda boring to me, so I ranked it at #78 but am fine with it showing up in the Bottom 10. 94: Alright with "The War Within" ranking. 93. Aww I do wish the Eric Clapton song of "Gotta Get Over" could have ranked higher as this was my #23 but oh well. :( 92: Alright with "Paper Doll" ranking as I had this at #75. 91: Oooh danggg, no, I wasn't expecting "Brave" to show up already. Dang, lost one of my Top 10s at #6 already. :( This was a great and really enjoyable song from Sara Bareilles. One of my favorites from her. :( 90: Good with "Better Days" showing up as this was my #87. 89: Glad that "Where We Came From" was Phillip Phillips' first song to show up as this was my least favorite from him of the 3 songs of his, as this was my #58. Wish it could have been a little higher. 88: At least "Wildfire" was the higher ranked John Mayer song here. This was my #54 so also wish this could have been higher too. 87: Aww I haven't heard "Restless Heart" before but really enjoyed this as I put this at #35 so wish this could have been ranked higher. 86: Lmaoo I don't even care for Phillip Phillips but ahh dang, I was not expecting "Gone, Gone, Gone" to show up this soon. Aww sad for this as I do really like this song as I ranked it as my #17. It's enjoyable and catchy. LMAOO my rankdown closeness being 44.9333. Then my highest rank of #6 showing up and my #100 still remaining. And the only one with their entire Top 10 remaining. I am doing TERRIBLE.

Most of the stuff I tanked sounds like Hall Mark folkaholic stuff I never heard or ever care to again. If I upgrade something it will usually be based on some sort of crooning or clapping along value. To everyone's surprise I actually gave one of this songs top 10 action on my weekly charts. I'm not gonna say which one tho. 100. I'm Alive (Life Sounds Like) - Michael Franti & SpearheadI hated this with a passion the second it commenced with the whistling. Not because of the whistling per say but because it rode on a silly Wizard of Oz follow the yellow brick road melody. It that wasn't enough.... then he rapped. 99. Life Is Better With You - Michael Franti & Spearhead At least this one had melody and I really like the lyrics. It seemed like a nice song to serenade your partner with. 98. Let's Go - Matt & KimI wanted to like this, but couldn't. It has a rather nice melody but the 'let's go's', heyeheyhey's ooohoos and his vocals killed it. and was that bass boom effix? Good Lord. 97. Wild Child - Brett DennenThis guy seems pretty inoffensive to me. I wouldn't pay to attend one of his performances, but at least he isn't silly. 96. Red Hands - Walk Off the EarthThis is the one I didnd't get the hate for? It was very popular back than. I think this band was one of those 15 miunte youtube sensations? A lot of early 2010's songs had that "stomp" effix, and this one was decent enough. I also like the vocals intervals. 95. I Got You - Jack Johnson never really cared for Jack's putting Beach Whales to bed music style. 94. The War Within - Churchill I give this type of music a big upgrade when they showcase female vocals. Just brings the aesthetic level to new high. You will be surprised to see where I slotted the other one. 93. Gotta Get Over - Eric ClaptonDon't get the hate for this at all. It isn't super memorable, but Eric's vocals add a much needed blues vibe to this folkalyptic list. 92. Paper Doll - John MayerI always forget what this guy did to piss everyone off, but it probably wouldn't make a difference anyway. As far as the song goes. It is kinda just there , but I did have a hard time viewing the music video. 91. Brave - Sara BareillesOnce again female vocal tones save this Folkatronic stomping thingie from mediocray. 90. Better Days - Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zerosun needed X-mas chimes and gospel vibes brought the song's level to full cringe for me. 89. Where We Came From - Phillip PhillipsThis isn't my styule, but put this way. If I came across a group of youngsters sutting around a fire and hearing this guy play. I could sit and listen for while while I got to know some of the girls. 88. Wildfire - John MayerSame thing here. Feels like the kind of song I would only stick around for if the crowd is mostly females. 87. Restless Heart - Matt HiresThis one was good. faster than most. More Country than Folkatronic. Definitely a foot stomper. Lyrics flowed nicely and cathcy chorus to sing along to? Maybe not , but I could follow along with the claps. ok I caught myslef singing to the chorus. 86. Gone, Gone, Gone - Phillip PhillipsLook I didn't agree seeing this guy on Alt charts, but definitely one of the better folk songs featured here. Clap along effix is and croon vibe is strong and the guy has good vocals tones. You gotta give him that.
