I saw the movie last night and it was an experience! Beyoncé is the best performer of our generation. I was in awe of her work ethic!🙌🏾🙌🏾😩

Are tickets more than normal movies? Renaissance movie tickets sell for between $22-$32.

I love her but those are utterly ridiculous prices for a movie.

I love her but those are utterly ridiculous prices for a movie. Well Taylor Swift was the same. No, I paid $13 for Eras with a student discount (which B doesn’t have) and the regular price was $20. Even then I think that’s also too high for a movie.

Any word how her movie did in its second weekend? I know in the US it’s doing well, but I read internationally it’s been a disappointment.

It took a pretty big hit in the US this weekend. Down 74.9% from opening weekend, bringing in $4.75 million. Domestic total is $28.53 million. Internationally it's brought in $7.6 million for a worldwide total of $36.13 million. That number will likely rise ever so slightly as international totals get added throughout the week (as far as I'm aware anyways).

^^ A commercial disappointment all around in actuality. 😰 No. The film is a limited run (according to Ms Tina the movie will only be in theaters until the end of the year) and doesn’t show Mon-Wed. This is doing just fine for a concert film

She really acknowledged the Self-Titled anniversary on Instagram! 10 years already, I still remember the day it came out and everyone was losing their mind.

Scrolling through this thread, it seems like they are gearing up for the live album based on some of the credits found.

I wasn't following the film closely at the Box Office so I was very shocked to find out it only did about 10milli outside USA/Canada.
Still profitable but kinda proves that these tour films aren't really the future if Beyoncé (arguably top 10 in terms of how much hype one person can gather just by existing) barely crosses the profitability line.

Like I said, don’t charge $25 a ticket and maybe more people would go.

We get that you can't afford her tickets. First, I’ve mentioned it twice, shoot me. Second, I saw her in July in Detroit so don’t worry about my financial situation and how it relates to her. I’m just saying that for the average person, they don’t want to pay that much for a movie and I know a lot of people who wanted to see it but didn’t for that reason. Don’t want to derail the thread anymore and was just responding to someone giving my thoughts on why the film didn’t do that great.
