This is very gay. Reminds me of "Run the World (Girls)". Does this officially sample "Show Me Love"? I'm trying to figure that out myself too! I guess I can see in the background for sure but it's definitely not as direct as other instances where that song has been sampled. I actually heard a bit of Pure Love when the chorus started after the first verse. |

It's very cute, def got that early 90s club sound ala Show Me Love, Love Sex Intelligence, 100% Pure Love, etc. And know Beyonce it will probably sound even better in an album context. I think we can expect some insane visuals in the coming weeks.

I tried to keep low expectations so not to get disappointed if she gave me slavery hymns but this is a bop! Its giving island breezy 90s dance. Not as hard hitting and instant as David Morales or C+C music factory but come August I can see this going into my replay playlist. Drake and Beychonce coming through with the gay dance anthems. The gay and black agenda is strong 🌈✊🏿  |

Big Freedia is a Black & LGBTQ icon and one of the pioneers of the New Orleans bounce genre. she was also featured in Beyoncé's "Formation," as well as an actually credited featured role on Kesha's "Raising Hell" (which is her sole Pop radio hit in the US so far, peaking at No. 21). her career in music is almost as long as Beyoncé's. in this song, Beyoncé uses samples from Big Freedia's 2014 song "Explode." definitely amps up the song and pays homage beautifully. you could have just googled this before typing and posting that. embarrassing, really. |
