Aren’t gross records a bit pointless anyway? The pricing of the tickets isn’t really a brag. Attendance records should matter so much more imo (and Beyoncé would appear multiple times on that list as well).

I also have the same opinion about the film industry/box office but this isn’t the time or place lol.

her camp has not released any data yet, I believe. her tour has 3x more dates as Beyoncé's and she's filling the stadiums to the brim, opening sections behind the stage. so there's really no doubt she'll have the highest-grossing tour of all-time by the end of her tour.

it's not a video award, that's how she qualifies. VMAs also have a Song of the Summer category where "BREAK MY SOUL" was nominated last year. 🤷🏽‍♀️

eh, they've always been how these things have been measured. attendance records can be tricky because you can increase the number of people willing to come to your show by lowering the price. anyone can fill a stadium if the tickets are $10. gross is a more direct reflection of demand. an artist's team can tamper with the supply (i.e. add more shows, lower prices, open more sections behind the stage), but can't change the demand. for sold-out shows, gross is able to take into account the question of "how many more people would have come, had there been unlimited seating at this venue?" better, eliminating the restrictions of physical space looking at attendance brings, since different stage configurations do change the number of people that can fit in a venue, too.

in the end, either method will be faulty when comparing shows/tours from different years, because you have to adjust for inflation or population. (would you adjust for the population of the city? country? world? even in that regard, gross/inflation seems to be more straightforward because they are made up concepts.)

My theory is that she planned on a visual album but was injured during the process which halted production. I think she’s going to use what was shot for some larger project, possibly incorporating visuals into a tour doc or something. There is speculation that she is making one larger visual album for all three Acts but I feel that the Renaissance visuals will feel a too late by that point.

im a lifelong Bey fan and I am priced out of Renaissance tour tickets.

I’ve seen Bey 4 times: at the Destiny fulfilled… and lovin it tour in 2005 with destiny’s child, in 2009 at the i am… world tour, in 2011 in Central Park summer concert series and 2013 the mrs Carter world tour.

Never paid more than $100 to see her, I’m genuinely upset. I couldn’t afford a $300+ ticket for Renassaince.

You're smart! If only more people were as financially aware as you, there wouldn't be so much debt.

I'm still on the fence about seeing the show in Houston. I don't really want to be way up in the nosebleeds looking at a screen the whole time because that's a bad vibe but I also don't want to pay like...600-1K for Club Renaissance or whatever seats. I've seen B twice: Ladies First Tour with Missy Elliott and Alicia Keys (when she first went solo, in a small college arena in Boston) and then Beychella. I'm also hesitant about this tour because I don't know how she can possibly top Beychella. I mean, that was a historical, culturally significant moment. From what I hear, this is just a grand tour, albeit a pretty great one.

They are already gone from the Phoenix show tonight. Halfway through alien superstar her sound stopped and they had to hold the show for five minutes.
