Robin S is the only one who did the justice for house music in pop charts, this here and Drake dont seem to break any new grounds and will not start house music revival as their versions are not strong enough.

Fans of this one should check this 90s joint out: that and Strike Me Up are better than Show Me Love as are a few other House songs . i would like a revival for that genre. Beyonce's song is also better than the Drake songs.

It’s weird that people are acting like she isn’t breaking new ground here at all. The blend of the Freedia and choir samples with the house sample are not something I’ve really ever heard before. There are a lot of styles coming together to form something really cool and new. Oh pls, breaking new ground by reusing a sample that Katy Perry of all people used in 2017. Lmao. Lol right. If stans were just like, "I love the throwback to 90s house music" I'd get it. But the overpraise by acting like she invented a new subgenre of music or something is what gives stans a bad rep and makes people resist her.

Not merely a canapé to excite us for the release of Renaissance, Beyoncé's 'Break My Soul' is the death knell for a cultural phenomenon. A song to signal a serious vibe shift towards slowing down and making time for ourselves. Most of all, though, it positions Beyoncé as a diva entering her Whitney Greatest Hits era: Having conquered virtually every other genre, it’s high time for body music. Beyoncé’s ‘Break My Soul’ is Our Dance Floor Anthem for the Post-Pandemic Era Who better to beckon us back to the club than Queen Bey herself? But anyway some of y’all need to release your anger. You sound like Jback circa 2013.

I mean. It’s a much fresher take on house music than Katy Perry or Lady Gaga. Kind of indisputably so

Katy Perry didn't sample "Show Me Love" though. If people are going to make that argument, at least say Charli XCX that already sampled it this year.

Omg. Why are old gays the worst. I think the Beyhive took over that mantle. I’m sorry. Beyonce released this song to unite us all to quit our jobs and dance, not argue. Im pretty sure in the UK Vogue interview, she said she wanted to make a not so high art album ala Lemonade.

But the overpraise by acting like she invented a new subgenre of music or something is what gives stans a bad rep and makes people resist her. I mean, if you have something that a lot of people like, it feels like overpraise just because a bunch of people are voicing positive comments about it. It's like the Adele situation. Nothing she did was groundbreaking but most people who've heard her like what they hear. Does it mean she's overpraised because not as many people are saying they don't like her? You seem offended or put off that people are liking this. Pointing out songs from 30 years ago isn't going to change anyone's mind. People like to have their own generational version to relate to. Just because One Direction did exactly what the Backstreet Boys did, who did exactly what New Kids on the Block did, doesn't mean people can't still like them because they exist for that particular age group. In Beyonce's case, she's helping bring back a style of music many of us have either never fully experienced firsthand or feel nostalgic toward. No harm done.

I don't even remember seeing people over praising as fresh, unique, groundbreaking.. so..? Right here, for one: It’s weird that people are acting like she isn’t breaking new ground here at all. The blend of the Freedia and choir samples with the house sample are not something I’ve really ever heard before. There are a lot of styles coming together to form something really cool and new. Jback also made a post, but that's clearly not to be taken seriously because, well, Jback. I have seen it a lot on Twitter, though. Her stans are even attacking Ellie Goulding right now because how dare she black out her social media to announce a new era beginning when Beyoncé created that promo tactic just days ago, apparently. But that's Twitter for you. (It's also giving Ellie more promo than she probably would have gotten from her own label. :kii: )

But what that good sis said was kind of true. 90’s house beat, Freeda, the choir. Oh lawd. And yes the Hive is doing charity giving that Elle girl some free promo. We all quit our jobs today, so we got time. Have fun a LMS dance y’all. *request Break my Soul at your local radio station*

how a true artist does groundbreaking house music back in 2013and Katy herself is a bisexual woman which is similar to the Big Freedia feature reach of the century but "Walking on Air" is a timeless bop so we'll deal. Katheryn was too busy streaming BEYONCÉ in 2013 to promote "Walking on Air":
