Overview:
With no major releases and the hype from Rihanna’s Lift Me Up dying down, Unholy had a chance to return to the #1 spot for a third non-consecutive week. This is only the second song to last 3 weeks at the summit, with Kate Bush’s Running Up That Hill being the first to do so in July of this year. Also fighting for a return trip to #1 is Taylor Swift’s Anti-Hero, which is up to #2. Taylor’s Lavender Haze has returned to the chart at #15 this week, and Bejeweled has debuted on the bubbling under chart, meaning we could have a Taylor takeover incoming. Meanwhile, Steve Lacy’s Bad Habit and Nicki Minaj’s Super Freaky Girl continue to show great longevity in their teen weeks at #3 and #4, respectively. Bad Habit has become the first song on the chart to last longer than 15 weeks. Before this, it tied with Joji’s Glimpse of Us, Doja Cat’s Vegas, and OneRepublic’s I Ain’t Worried, which all lasted 15 weeks on the chart before dropping off for good. David Guetta and Bebe Rexha are also contenders for the top spot with I’m Good (Blue) back at #5. Meanwhile, our sole debut this week comes from the Black Eyed Peas with Anitta and El Alfa for Simply the Best at #19. It comes from their new album, Elevation, which was released on Friday. Our three returns on the chart this week include the previously mentioned Lavender Haze at #15, as well as Rosa Linn’s SNAP at #8 and Chris Brown’s Under the Influence at #10.

Overview:
This week, Sam Smith and Kim Petras remained at #1 with Unholy. This is the song’s fourth week at the summit, the longest stay at the top since the chart’s beginning in July 2022. The record was previously held by Kate Bush’s Running Up That Hill, which spent 3 weeks at #1. However, with new competition at the top, Unholy may lose the top spot sooner rather than later. First of all, Meghan Trainor’s viral release Made You Look vaults to #2 in its third week on the chart. The song’s popularity on TikTok has helped it pick up significant streaming and radio numbers in the last few weeks. While it does slip a spot to #3 this week, Taylor Swift’s Anti-Hero shouldn’t be counted out either. It spent two weeks at #1 upon its release, and seems worthy of a return trip once Unholy finished its dominance on the chart. Plus, Sia’s Unstoppable leaps 12 spots to a new peak of #4, and Selena Gomez’s My Mind & Me returns at a new peak of #5. It is also our only re-entry this week. Kicking off our new debuts is Charlieonnafriday’s Enough at #14, followed closely behind by Avril Lavigne and YUNGBLUD’s collaboration I’m A Mess at #17, and Ava Max’s Million Dollar Baby at #19.
