^ Kind of crazy that the Group of The Year category looks stacked upon looking over the likely nominees, but in terms of music it’s really kind of weak. I don’t listen to radio near as much as I used to, but I feel pretty confident saying none of those groups have had a very big year

I wonder if Carly Pearce's terrible live performances will hurt her any.

Oh yep I agree, and I don’t think there are any other viable options for nominations, but I just meant that these are such big-name groups but I really don’t think any of them have been that big at all lately…especially in the last year

I get that taste is subjective but Carly Pearce sounds good live and it is clear the award industry loves her a lot so I think she'll be nominated a lot.

Same, I've seen her twice and thought she was incredible live. Once opening for Rascal Flatts back in the day, and once this year for Kenny - if anything I thought she improved. She's very engaging with the crowd. Is there an example of a poor performance? Honestly first time I've heard she's had bad ones.

I keep hearing people say she's horrible live but I haven't really seen it yet.

MacKenzie Porter) -"Flower Shops" (Ernest ft. Morgan Wallen) -"If I Didn't Love You" (Jason Aldean & Carrie Underwood) Good choices. Except I would have had Carrie over Miranda in Entertainer . Plus I wouldn’t nominee McBryde for female cuz she didn’t do anything byherself in a while. That fifth spot should be Kelsea’s . I Would put the Duo and Group together and have, Brothers, Dan + Shay, Dominion, Lady A, ZBB.

I Would put the Duo and Group together and have, Brothers, Dan + Shay, Dominion, Lady A, ZBB. Personally, I think Miranda has a better shot at Entertainer over Carrie this year because it feels like she's had a bigger year across the board (IMO). As for female, Kelsea is obviously at a disadvantage because of her label, so that's why I see Ashley getting in over her although I personally think Lainey Wilson absolutely deserves the nomination over both of them even though she's still quite new.

I can definitely see Lainey getting in. She seems to have the support and especially with her Yellowstone press rn. Carrie and Miranda I think are interchangeable this year depending on what’s taken into consideration. Carrie had her big stagecoach performance and Vegas shows while Miranda took a little time off to be with her mom, but did other things that got her attention in other ways. (winning the ACM, C2C, a strong album and Time 100). We shall see. Hopefully at least one of them gets in but I could also see them both missing depending on if people vote for Tim & Reba (who is actually the female with the most shows I think??) and if they let Morgan in…. Lots of interesting factors.

Where can you go to view the submissions? I know I’ve seen FYC ads in Country Aircheck before. Most labels will wait to publish FYC's until 2nd and final round of voting, but there are a few labels that will publish them during first round although they don't always specify what's being submitted (example- Walker Hayes has the categories he was submitted to, but not what songs that were submitted).

I really want Shania to perform at this year's CMA Awards. She hasn't performed on a country award show in two decades (understandably so) but I really want her to perform. She performed at the AMAs the other year so I know it's a possibility for her. Even if she sings a more pop-leaning song, I would imagine the show would welcome her with open arms.

Damn it. They had to go and ruin the Brad & Carrie combo a couple years ago, didn't they? Couldn't leave well enough alone.

That is certainly a grab for viewership. Could be worse, though.
