They just use a different pool of stations, which give different numbers,  Billboard uses less stations.

all stations recalibrate regularly.  So comparisons Of songs over time aren't always fair.

That album from Encanto Cast was huge at the start of the year, I think they could smash with their next release

The length of time those singles from Encanto stayed on the charts went quickly like a flash that I have started to forget about them already. If only the whole Hot 100 could move fast like that or even in the 80s period, it would be more entertaining.

I don't think stations recalibrate regularly on Mediabase. There's a giant sweeping change all at once ~once a year, and I doubt that's caused by one single station updating when it happens. Unless smaller stations recalling makes it unnoticeable for the other times. This was especially obvious during the pandemic when Billboard updated but Mediabase did not, while both were delayed, Mediabase was WAY more delayed. The Mediabase AI to Billboard AI multipler went from ~0.75x on average in early 2020 to under 0.5x, which makes zero sense if 1) individual stations updated regularly, and changes to all of them were not "batched", and 2) if they both update when a station updates.

Comparisons of songs are fair assuming the estimates are up-to-date, unless you want to compare raw plays.

I forgot about the need for this site to tear things apart word for word when they do not like what is said.

local stations would have quarterly books to know their audience.  Mediabase would take those numbers and do a panel audit and come up with their audience impression numbers.  I refuse to get into a discussion on the definition of what is regular.  I am sure if those audience estimates are too far off for a period of time, there'd be flap from those who pay thousands for the data  just because one company may feel audience is down and adjust their numbers down, doesn't mean everyone agrees.

Well, i gotta hand it to Post. Even if he has no #1 for this era nor he ever probably would, the singles have been proven that it has some longevity behind them. ORN had its radio stabilizing its run along with surprising spotify numbers. Cooped Up also has some surprising numbers on there as well, and hopefully it can stick around. But they really made a smart move with having Doja on the album and making that a single as its clearly working right now. Would it go back to the top 10? if both streaming and radio grows then for sure. But top 5 might be unlikely.

I still get the feeling that if Bey wants to get BMS to number one, she will have to release the music video and the album at the same time so that both boosts can happen at once. I’m pretty sure that’s the entire reason the video hasn’t been released yet.
