I said before that this felt like a bigger hit than both IUSA and Lucky, but I think that was it's high Hot 100 debut talking.
This seems like how I would imagine Lucky performed back in the day and feels like a pretty good parallel to this song now. I hope top 10 happens.

I thought this would’ve been dropped by now due to the low fan fair, but it goes to show corporate radio will always be on board to support something the mainstream media is pushing. Britney’s media attention is good enough for radio to play this. It helps push their progressive narrative (Same with acts like Lil Nas X and Lizzo who get strong radio airplay/media attention despite low album streams). |

I don't think that should be surprising at this point, and the streams are really fine, it's barely outside of the top 50 on streaming, like 50-100k behind #50. The bigger problem is Sunroof, #29 on sales, #26 on streaming but #2 on radio and #5 on Hot 100. Super Freaky Girl (#6) is behind it, while in top 10 on both sales (#7) and streaming (#5) and #18 on radio. |

The bigger problem is Sunroof, #29 on sales, #26 on streaming but #2 on radio and #5 on Hot 100. IMHO, shit like this makes the charts MORE interesting because there's more than one way to have a hit. When streaming, sales, and radio align is when it gets boring and stagnant, and we have the same songs charting for 50-70 weeks. |

Stream V.S Radio is a bit of a binary vision of this industry when other parameters can be taken into account by radio programmers, such as Shazam or the ability of a song to be "viral" (especially with the number of videos generated on TikTok). Two aspects that "Hold me closer" answers well. |

In Godney we trust. Ugh...imagine when she comes back with a proper single with a proper visual and replay value. I'm enjoying this appetizer...it's delicious, delectable, and scrumptious.
