Probably the only thing related to Nate Ruess that's ever worth coming back to, but damn what a high point it is. Actual genius song. The Format is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than Fun., I recommend giving that project a listen Man these indie dudes always have like five bands don't they?

100. Open the Door (To Your Heart) - Van Morrison: LOL not me being one of the first two people to lose one of their Top 50 rankings at #100. This would happen to me in this game, LMAO. I did enjoy this song on first listen so it's a bummer seeing this show up first. :( 99. Drive By - Train: LOL of course I'm the first one to lose one of their Top 10 with my #8. But ahh I did expect this song to show up low, so that's a bummer. Darn because this is a really fun and a song that I do love from Train. :( Oooof at 11 #100 rankings.... that's really rough, lmao. I did not know this was that hated, lmao. 98. Mercy - Dave Matthews Band: My lowest rank so far, which is my #58. Hmm I did not expect this to show up so low. I did enjoy this but it wasn't really a standout. Still would have had this higher. Interesting how this is the lowest SD though. 97. I Could Be a King - The Dunwells: Hmm, this was my #50. I enjoyed this song on first listen but do wish it could have been higher. I am surprised seeing this come in so low too. Also interesting how this has the 3rd lowest SD. 96. Ho Hey - The Lumineers: OMGG whoa I'm shocked this showed up but don't mind it at all. I'm pleased, actually lol. This was just a song I could never stand and would always annoy me. I'm surprised I ranked it as high as #91 but I guess my familiarity with this song made me rank it higher over other songs I simply didn't like or couldn't connect with. But yeah happy with this showing up. But dang this beat "I Could Be a King" by 3 points, so if I dropped this lowerto like #95 or lower, it could have been another spot lower lol. 95. Spread Too Thin - Dirty Heads: This was my #65, so hmmm a song I'm okay with showing up though I wish it could have been a little higher. Didn't have too big of an opinion on this. 94. Chains of Love - Ryan Adams: Yayy a perfect ranking here with this being my #94. Didn't like this and found this to be boring. So I'm good with this showing up early. And yeah I based this ranking based on this song - not his outside life, like Daryl the Beryl said. 93. I Won't Give Up - Jason Mraz: Lol I did not expect me to be the highest rank for this song with this being my #13. This is a very nice, relaxing and easygoing song. I do enjoy this song but do wish this was much higher as well. 92. Man on Fire - Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros: Oh wow I'm shocked at my #100 showing up so early as it took so long for my last #100 to show up on the 2013 game, lmao. But I'm glad with this showing up because I found this boring and didn't care for this at all - and yeah it was my least favorite of the songs here. 91. Oh Love - Green Day: Hmmm I feel kinda surprised seeing a Green Day song this low. This didn't do that much for me but it was alright and I didn't really mind it. This was my #62, so I'm ok with its ranking but would have liked it a little higher. 90. She's So Mean - Matchbox Twenty: Aww I do enjoy MB20. I don't really recall hearing this song but I did really like this song on first listen, enough so to rank it at #23. This definitely isn't one of my top faves from them. But it's still a really good and enjoyable song from them. Ooof at this being the 4th highest SD. 89. Watching You Watch Him - Eric Hutchinson: LOL at my #22 coming right after my #23 here, haha. But this was another song that was new to me but I really enjoyed listening to it on this list. Fun song and I like the upbeat feel to it. Wish this had ranked higher. 88. All Fall Down - Shawn Colvin: Fine with my #79 showing up here. This was just alright. Shawn has a nice voice but this didn't really stand out much for me. 87. Untitled (Love Song) - Counting Crows: This was another alright song that didn't stand out that much to me, as this was my #73. 86. Saw You First - GIVERS: Ahh just four spots off from a perfect rank, as this was my #82. Didn't care too much for this one but it was okay. 85. Not Over You - Gavin DeGraw: Ahh dangg, noooo not my #5 showing up and me being the only person to put this in their Top 10. I feel soo alone, lmaoo. But aww dang, sad to see this showing up already. I do really love this song and think it's a great/catchy song from Gavin. 84. The Boxer - Jerry Douglas f/ Mumford & Sons and Paul Simon: This was fine and enjoyable enough for my to rank it at #59. I probably ranked it so high based on the original? IDK. But I did like this and wouldn't have minded this being higher. 83. Modern Love - Matt Nathanson: Aww I enjoyed the Matt Nathanson songs in this rankdown, where I liked this enough to place it at #33. This was a really fun, enjoyable and easylistening song. It made me happy listening to this. Wished it was higher. 82. Some Nights - Fun: Wow at this having the 5th highest SD. Omgg whoa I'm kinda shocked that I ranked this at #51. I was never really a big fan nor cared that much for this song. I guess my familiarity with this made me rank thish a lot higher than I was supposed to. So oops. I get how some would love it but I never got to loving or really liking this much. Also not surprised seeing rankings all over the place here. 81. Simple Girl - JR JR: Oooh yayy I cleared out another Bottom 10 ranking of mine. I'm already doing so much better than 2013's list! This was my #97, so yeah this was another song I didn't like, care for and just bored me while listening to it.

LOL I'm doing the worst in rankdown closeness with 37.3. I wonder if I can keep that up again, lmao. I am surprised I haven't sufered the highest loss yet though I know it's coming lol. I am also pretty pleased to have 8 Top 10 rankings and more than my 6 Bottom 10 rankings. Cause it was not like that last time, lmao.

god fu ck this atrocity of a song Nothing about this song is appealing to me in any way. Everything sounds jumbled together in the most slapdash way imaginable. Probably the only thing related to Nate Ruess that's ever worth coming back to, but damn what a high point it is. Actual genius song. It's hilarious reading all of these posts back-to-back about the same song.

Only goona cover some first time favorites and big hits PULSE is sure to tank. maybe a few of my bottom ten's just to show my apprecialtion they are out. 99. Drive By - TrainTalk about a drive by. I don't even think Pat knew what hit him here. I'm still trying to process this in the bottom ten. I remeber this one was huge on the radio. I used to listen to Rick Dees version of the Hot Ac and this was always in the top 10. I generally really like Train and everything they released in the day. This rhymes, it's catchy and the video has a convoy of pure American muscle machines. So unless you all copied off each other's homework I am cluless as to why this isn't in everyone's top 20. 98. Mercy - Dave Matthews Band Not much to write home about , but it is a pleasant return to the Dave Mathews band part 9. 96. Ho Hey - The Lumineers Before I heard one other song from this list this travesty was destined for my bottom tank scraper position. Hated this from day one and feared more songs like this would ,and did follow. Surprise there was actually a song I found even more annoying than this. 95. Spread Too Thin - Dirty HeadsThis felt more like a joke than a song, but whatver good riddance to bad rubbish. 93. I Won't Give Up - Jason MrazThis guy usually doesn't give me a reason to tank him this bad, but this was lifeless and forgettable. 92. Man on Fire - Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic ZerosSounded like a bad attempt at "hey Ho" part 2 with an ever more annoying "wildrrness" style. 91. Oh Love - Green DayI have no idea why peeps don't love this song. It isn't AAA vibe at all, but who gives a damn. Love Green Day and just about anything they release, and this is no exception. Also I had a ball charting loads of songs from all three albums. "Kill The Dee Jay" beacmse my favorite off Billie Joe Armstrong's album. 90. She's So Mean - Matchbox Twentyand I thought the girl in the song was mean. You all heartless. This was thier comeback jam. Rob Thomas delivered it just the way he needed to and the lyrics were so true. You have to date a bad gilr or two to really feel the connection with this song. The melody was really catchy, and had a tad of a latin vibe to it. LOL at this shit of losing two of my top 5 s in a row. Sometimes I have no idea who you people are? 88. All Fall Down - Shawn ColvinI liked this one. Simple melody, but clap along catchy. 85. Not Over You - Gavin DeGrawFeels like we just tanking the bigger hits from Hot AC. I liked this one even before PULSE. LOved the melody the piano provides for Gavin and I absolutely love the lyrics, and I put lyrics at fourth place whan it comes to a song's importance, but these really hit home. Everyone has felt like this at one time or another. I love that it has a happy ending too. 84. The Boxer - Jerry Douglas f/ Mumford & Sons and Paul SimonDon't care for the original and this bloated cover just made it worse. 83. Modern Love - Matt NathansonThis is a really fun one. Misses my top 50 , but I love the brass parts. Matt has great vocals and he did best with that song that sounds like "Faith". I think it is titled "Faster". Can't wait to see how that one performs. 82. Some Nights - FunWrong one out first. Also this is my favorite song from them. In a funny way it sounds like one of those songs Soldiers would be marching too, but at the same time it has a pub feel to it. 81. Simple Girl - JR JRThis was awful. I recall this band grabbing a slot on Alt with that one "happy Hobbit" sounding song. The MV had those toroless legs prancing about. One of the worst things my eyes and ears have ever encountered, and I'm not surprised at the least that this band is also responsible for this mega travesty. What a kick in the ass I got tonight. 8D EXTRAS:Really didn't dig any of this except these two, so I'll go back and to the first ones from a few nights ago.Underneath the Sycamore - Death Cab for Cutiewas this before or after "Crooked Teeth"? This sounds more like their signature sound. This would have been a high one on my chart. This'll Be My Year - TrainThis one was great as well. Needed the lyrics on screen to follow along. His lyrics are usually clunky, but they cover so much you can't help feel the connection. The melody in the chorus is very early 80's Tom Petty. Imelda May - Inside OutFirst time listen, but this one here was a hoot. She has great vocal tomes for this style. I dare say I would give this one one of the highest ranks, and it rides on a one of the best "Livin' la Vida Loca" vibes I have ever heard. make it a Ricky Martin duet I would have gone top 10 with it. True Story. The Kooks - How'd You Like That Here is one I charted that year. Really loved the Sophistipop style. The jumpy little piano in the verses was the reason I liked Gavin DeGraw's song as well. NEEDTOBREATHE - Keep Your Eyes OpenAlso charted this one. Indiepop was still sounding good. It was the new thing out and there was a bunch of songs that were quite enticing. Jack's Mannequin - Release MeSame thing with this one. Those piano's in the verses gave the song's power. The guitars took it more in a Rock direction, but that's how I like them. Loud. This is way better than anything he has realsed under his own name since then. This is another one that would have slotted in my top 30. P!nk - TryYou wouldn't think I would like this one, but this turned out to be my favorite song of hers. I probably like it for all the wrong reasons, but I loved that melody the entire song rides on. It's a simple one, but very strong at the same time. Used many times in other songs, but I compare it most to it's loudest version. You need a keen ear to pick up on it, but the guitars are are the same strums as Neil Schon and Jan Hammer "No More Lies". These guitars strums are broken up, faster and louder, but they the same. www.youtube.com/watch?v=sh93oEqBHbYMaroon 5 - One More Night Not sure how well PULSE would recive this band on AAA, but this was a good song. Very much like a Reggea Pop song. Maroon 5 f/Wiz Khalifa - PayphoneThis one turns out to be one of my Maroon 5 favorites. It is such a pleasant pop ballad with lyrics so easy to follow along to that by verse 2 you are crooning along with Adam. Everything was going well. until "poof" A blatant interruption of an otherwise pleasant pop song by that Wizard guy's rap. In his angry version he is pretty much like screw the girl, move on, but the remix actually gives a chance for the couple to return together. I prefer happy endings. Lucky for us this song also charted o Hot AC and there was a remix released with no Wizard rap. This is the version that Rick Dees played on his Hot AC top 30. I suspect this version of the song would have been a better option for AAA therefore giving us a chance to rank it. Would have been an easy top 20 for me.

{I WON'T SAY WHY A WORD WALL WAS NECESSARY}#100: Oh, I'm about to fall asleep again... #99: Doc?!?! #98: I almost ran out of room to put this song in the bottom 20. This list got rough at times. #97: zzzzzzzz #96: I doubt that I'll ever truly despise this song, but I just never, ever, ever, ever, ever want to hear it again. #95: It's slightly better than I remembered it being, though, given how much I didn't like this song previously, that's not saying a lot. #94: At least with his best performers, the songs themselves are interesting, even if I still feel a little icky while listening to them. This just isn't good or interesting in any way. #93: The best thing going for this song is that it's not "Drive By". #92: This was just a dirge of a year at the bottom, with so many boring songs, and this was emblematic of all of the worst aspects of those boring songs. And it still only finished just inside of my bottom ten lol #91: Oh wow, I'm surprised this actually finished bottom ten. I thought it would at least escape the first night. Good, though, that has always been not great. #90: I genuinely thought that my bottom two was locked in going into this RD, but I'll be damned if this song didn't give it a really good attempt. Holy crap, this was awful. #89: This song actually inspired me to step away from this RD for a little bit, because it was so mind-numblingly uninteresting. Is this what I have to look forward to in the future with these retro AAA RDs? #88: "Sunny Came Home", this, obviously, wasn't. #87: Looking forward to these guys continuing to be bland and forgettable throughout these RDs. #86: Ehhhhhhhhh #85: At least, as far as I remember, it doesn't get worse for Gavin? #84: This baffled me. Why does this exist? Why is it so close to the original? Did Paul Simon need a new car that badly? #83: Hallmark commercial vibes #82: ngl, super glad this isn't higher, despite my ranking. Hope this means we'll get some other pop crossovers out in the near future. Key word "hope". #81: This is okay, but I doubt I'll ever come back to it.
