Legitimately I think I like this more than any other Wallflowers single outside of "One Headlight", and more than most songs by The Clash ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 62

RHCP escaped my bottom quarter. I won't be that nice to them at the end of this year.
I won't be this nice in 2011 either

80. Ghost - Ingrid Michaelson: Ahh this was my #49, so I wish this could have ranked a little higher. This was a really pretty and pleasant song. Glad it wasn't one of my bigger favorites so am alright with this showing up, I suppose. 79. River's Gonna Rise - Warren Haynes: Ahh just a few spots off from a perfect rank as I ranked this at #84. This was alright but didn't do too much for me so I'm definitely good with this showing up here. 78. Shadow Day - John Mayer: Oooh I ranked this at #61 and think this was the John Mayer song I ranked lower. It's another one of those songs I wished ranked a little higher but glad that this was the first song to show up as I preferred his other one. 77. Isn't That So - Lyle Lovett: This was my #86, so I'm good with this showing up now. Just didn't really care too much for this song. 76. All the Right Places - Zach Heckendorf: Oooh my #90 is out so yayy, I'm good with this showing up now. This was another song I just didn't really care for. It's easy listening but didn't do much for me. Kinda surprised with how well I'm doing so far but I bet I spoke too soon saying that, lol. 75. Too Close - Alex Clare: LMAO Oh dangg, I just knew I would jinx myself with the last comment I made on the previous song because yeah now my #7 shows up. Ugh sad but not too surprised about that happening. I do love this song and think it's a great and catchy song from Alex Clare. Hmm interesting this has the 15th highest SD - not sure if that was surprising or not. 74. I Will Wait - Mumford & Sons: LOL now there goes another one of my Top 10 with my #10 showing up now. Lmao dangg now I'm back to doing badly. I don't normally care for Mumford & Sons but aww I do love this song and it's my favorite song of theirs. I wish this had done better. :( Surprised to see this was really polarizing to have the 3rd highest SD. 73. Ships In the Night - Mat Kearney: Oh dear, I seee a #1 ranking and a 7th highest SD. Lmaoo I'm really scared it's my #1 as my higher ranks tend to be high SDs lmao. Oooh phew, so glad that it wasn't - though sorry to Blurry. :( But I'm sad to see this show up as this was my #27 and I did really enjoy listening to this here. This was a nice, easygoing track and I like Mat's voice on this. Surprised seeing this being so polarizing with the 7th highest SD, although it's kinda funny seeing a song with a #1 and a #100 ranking. 72. Right Down the Line - Bonnie Raitt: Hmm I had this at #66, so yeah I wasn't too far off from a perfect rank. This was fine and enjoyable but I'm ok with this showing up here. 71. A Thousand Years - Christina Perri: This is a really beautiful and stunning song that I ranked at #12. I'm not sure if this is my very favorite song of Christina's but it's up there. I do wish this was higher. I guess not too surprised seeing this as the 10th highest SD as my favorites tend to be the more polaizing songs. 70. Heartbeat - The Fray: This isn't one of my favorites from The Fray but I do still really enjoy and like this song from The Fray. I ranked it at #30 so again, wish it had ranked higher than this but oh well. But it is nice that this made the Top 70 without any Top 20 rankings. 69. Queen of California - John Mayer: I had a feeling John Mayer wouldn't do too well here but I am glad that this was his higher ranking song. I ranked this at #42 and found myself really enjoying this. Again not one of my favorites from John but I like it and wished it was a little higher. 68. We Are Young - Fun f/ Janelle Monáe: LMAO of course I lose yet another Top 10 song of mine, this time my #4. Fun. is such an interesting band as I was not really a fan of "Some Nights" but I do really love "We Are Young." But yeah I love the mood, vibe, feel of this and it gives off a feel good vibe to me. I am just happy it beat out "Some Nights." And actually now I am not surprised seeing this get the highest SD, as my favorites get such high SD ratings, lmao. I'm shocked seeing that "Make Me Feel" made it to the AAA 2018 chart. :o 67. My Oh My - Tristan Prettyman: This is my #31, so I do really like this and also wish it had ranked higher. Never heard this song or artist before but I really like her voice and the feel of this song. 66. Live and Die - The Avett Brothers: Ooh wow I thought I had ranked this lower than #80 as I remember I always had this towards the bottom of my rankings, but I guess it went up higher than I expected. Don't really care for this but happy to have this show up now. 65. Half Moon - Blind Pilot: Ugh, darn just two spots off from a perfect rank. Why couldn't this have been just two spots lower? lmaooo. Anyway, this was fine/alright. Didn't really stand out to me but I'm glad it showed up here. 64. Sleep - Allen Stone: Aww nooo, a bummer that this showed up now as I really liked this song that I ranked it at #18. :( I do really like Allen's voice and think he's very talented. Great song, and I wasn't surprised to have enjoyed this as much as I did. 63. Room @ the End of the World - Matt Nathanson: I really enjoyed both of Matt's songs here in this rankdown though I did prefer his other one. I did rank this at #40 so another song I wish was higher but am also ok with it showing up rather than my bigger favorites that has already shown up. 62. Reboot the Mission - The Wallflowers f/ Mick Jones: Oooh nicee that my #96 got posted here! Ahh I wanted to like this as I love "One Headlight" so was hoping I could like this but it just didn't really click with me.. :( 61. Look Around - Red Hot Chili Peppers: This was a fun and enjoyable song from the Chili Peppers. Not one of my top favorites of theirs but I did enjoy and like it enough to put it at #44. Wow their performance history is insanely impressive! :omg: Of the extras posted, my favorite is "Settle Down." I also like "Midnight City."

I'm still consistent with the lowest rankdown closeness score! And lmao I have the same amount of Top 10s and Bottom 10s remaining, both with 5 each. Still I think I'm doing better here than in 2013, lol.

Just noitce that the performer for Shadow Days is written as Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band instead of John Mayer.

80. Ghost - Ingrid Michaelson As far as female sung music in an AAA this is probably one of the lowest ranks you'll see me give. I'm usually enticed by feamle tones alone and the music here wasn't even that bad, but overall her delivery was snooze worthy at best.
79. River's Gonna Rise - Warren Haynes I get the low ranks. WTF is this guy? Why is he here and will we ever hear from him again, but you gotta admit as far as Jam Sessions songs go this one wasn't bad at all. If you made it half way through you can hear some really good blues fueled fire guitars.
78. Shadow Days - Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band I feel not giving John Mayer credit here was intentional so I'm not even gonna get into it. I haven't heard this since it was in rotation years ago. Not a favorite by any means, but pleasant enough as far as this type of Folk pop goes.
77. Isn't That So - Lyle Lovett All I know about this artist is that at some point he was married to Julia Roberts. I'll be the first to say it. That face doesn't go with those vocals. I can see Julia Roberts falling for this guy if he serenaded her over the phone. Those vocals are good. I ranked this song entirely by his vocals which I think I never heard until now, and it lands right were I think it should.
76. All the Right Places - Zach Heckendorf Couldn't recall if I heard this years ago, but it was pretty good. Really dug his vocal tones and they sound great on that chorus.
75. Too Close - Alex Clare I definitely recall hearing this bloated ,dub stepping , ear grating wanna be AAA elektronica all over the radio and I hate it as much now as I did back then. End of story.
74. I Will Wait - Mumford & Sons I recall these sort of folkaramma attacks all over the radio in the early 2010's. Regrettably after so many times hearing pound into my ears I was starting to grow into it, but I fought it, and stuck to my guns and I was able to overcome that banjo onslaught.
73. Ships In the Night - Mat Kearney ...and I found a song I hate more than "Hi Ho Ho Ho, Hey Hey Ha Ha Ha". It still rides on the same sort of GOD awful stompedes, but WTF with that vocal delivery? rappy, robotik. monotonous. Not one ounce of emotion in his tones during the verses. That's the worst thing a singer can make me sit through. Glad to know our host feels the same about this travesty.
72. Right Down the Line - Bonnie Raitt I thought this was alright during the first few previews then I thought do I really need this cover. The guitar arrangements give it a different vibe, but that was all.
71. A Thousand Years - Christina Perri I had a feeling this one would be tanked. Maybe even because it's from those movies, but I liked it, I love her emotion and vocal tones. Beautiful lyrics, and I love Vampires. Ok ok she is also a Leo woman, so I can't resist liking the song from day one.
70. Heartbeat - The Fray A song I knew well back then. One of my favorite radio Pop songs. There were some. This one was Matchbox Twenty catchy enough for me. Sounded like those AAA songs of the mid 90's from Vertical Horizon, Counting Crows, etc... I love whatver he is doing with his vocals in that chorus. Shows he can hit different keys.
69. Queen of California - John Mayer Once again I know this guy's music from radio airplay. I wouldn't go as far as dowloading anything from him, but they ok. I do kinda like the giutar arraangemnts here. The bass guitar lines up with the song's melody just fine.
68. We Are Young - Fun f/ Janelle Monáe I still call this Anthemic Pop Pub music. Still sounds good after all these years.
67. My Oh My - Tristan Prettyman First time lsiten, but I really liked it. A little western pop ,The song's arrangements are the same style as Lifehouse "Between The Raindrops".
66. Live and Die - The Avett Brothers Somehow this banjoramam made it out of my bottom ten. The brothers hit some harmonious chords here and there. I'll give them that, but che chorus was still a bit too folky/happy for me.
65. Half Moon - Blind Pilot Another song I ranked a bit higher based on athe high and low notes he hits in the chorus, and that one acapella. Banjos actually added to the pleasnatness of the song. You can thank me later with half a six pack.
64. Sleep - Allen Stone This was aalright. I bet if Bruno Mars sang it it would be top 10? I put it where I think it goes.
63. Room @ the End of the World - Matt Nathanson Nothing with replay value here. "Modern Love" was way more cathy.
62. Reboot the Mission - The Wallflowers f/ Mick Jones Wallflowers meets The Clash. Dylan's vocals really rode high on this one. Great music arrangments over all. Why so low? Too catchy for ya all?
61. Look Around - Red Hot Chili Peppers This song just misses my top 20. Really dug the song on it's proper format which is Alt. Right here it kinda felt like an intermission more than anything. Still a banger tho.
oooh I like these extras:
This Head I Hold - Electric Guest I charted this one. I really had a soft spot for this Sophistipop indie style. The sort of mono sound gave it that A.M. sound which I thought was defination of Indie. Like independent of BIg radio stereo sound. "Sweater Weather" had this sound too. Also why I loved Fits and The Tantrums.
Gaucho - Dave Matthews Band A different singer and this could have made it on the From Dusk til Dawn soundtrack. Love the Latin Mariachi vibe. The song itself isn't all that special, but that's a nice aspect of it.
Midnight City - M83 I would have put this in my top 10. Maybe even my top 5 kicking down Green Day or even Matchbox Twenty. Is it apt for the format? HELL NO, but I really don't care because it is a synthpop extraveganza that could go on forver as far as I'm concerned. Beautiful, meloncholy melody that melts the heart.and it has a strong 80's vibe to boost.
Tomorrow - The Cranberries I also have a soft spot for Alt music stars who cruise over to other formats. This is a nice pleasant song that should take you back to nice colorful rainbow ride out the otherwise dark 90's. Top 20 for me. Anyone else wanna ride that rainbow?
Blood Brothers - Ingrid Michaelson can't say I care for this one anymore than the one we ranked here. Got some Lisa Loeb vibes here and there , but i don't cream for Lisa Loeb.
Settle Down - No Doubt I really enjoyed this comback hit from them. Much better than all that Hella girl whatever Gwen was into back than poptart noise. I also like the song from this same album where they do a Cowboys and Indians themed music video. "Looking Hot" and that she was.
The Way It Is - The Sheepdogs At times a rock vibe wants to rear it's head out of this song, but it never quite flourishes. I don't think I would have helped much with the performance of this song on this RD.

oh yeah i ranked christina perri at a delectable enough position
two years is a long time to have spent not listening to a song you'd heard all the time before, right after being old enough to be thrown out into the world but it was quite pleasant to listen to, my mind feels comforted not knowing or treating songs that were apparently huge so lowly. overplay doesn't exist anymore to me

{ALMOST GOT TO THE POINT WHERE THIS WORD WALL BECAME A BIG WORD WALL}#80: That cover art is also very white. It's fine, I guess, but disposable. #79: Funnily enough, the longer this went, the more I liked it. I don't know if I wanted a few more minutes of it, but I think it used its length somewhat well. #78: Christ, this was boring. At least the other Mayer song was interesting, in a way. #77: I've been waiting for this day for a long time, just to see Razor boost Lyle. I am glad he did not disappoint. #76: It wasn't the worst thing in the world, I guess. #75: The more and more we move away from dubstep, the more this ages. #74: I will forever have a soft spot for this. If you're going to do this to the Mumford songs I have a soft spot for, at least do the same to "Little Lion Man" when it shows up, too. #73: I'm sorry, James. I tried to get into this, but I just couldn't. #72: Never really been the biggest fan of Bonnie's, and her songs here weren't particularly good. #71: I like precisely two Christina Perri songs, and one is fueled by nostalgia more than anything. This is not one of those songs. #70: I don't know, we'll see how it goes with these lists, but I doubt I'm going to rank any of the upcoming Fray songs that high, even the one you'd expect me to boost. #69: He's definitely done worse. #68: At least with "Some Nights", there's an energy to it, even if that hinders your enjoyment of the song. This has always been at least somewhat of a bore. #67: I almost misspelled her name as "Tristan Pettyman". More interesting than this song, anyway. #66: "February Seven" was genuinely good, so this was a pretty big disappointment. #65: Seeing Impaired Aeronaut #64: I completely forgot this was still in. One of the whitest songs here, and that's saying a lot. #63: Compared to "Modern Love", this was alright. #62: Okay, I completely expected you to hate this, gates, so color me Red that you liked it this much. Yeah, this is my favorite song I've heard from The Wallflowers..."One Headlight" included. What a surprise, I like a song that sounds like dance Clash. #61: And here's a song I expected Razor to put much lower, and instead, it's nearly out of his bottom 30. It's...okay, but it's standard RHCP.

Mikey ends his retro appearances with his first bottom 50. I kind of understand why. Doesn't mean I like the result, though 60

Mayer Hawthorne may be one of Kendrick Lamar's most random collabs.
Nice to see him here. Wish we got to rank more of his stuff.
