So I was going back and forth about doing this rankdown because I hadn't started it and there's only 4 days away. I'm only 5 songs in and I've been blown away by one song I had heard of but never actually heard. I'm in.

Yay! I did this, last in closeness here I come? I think my 5 will shock everyone because people would expect me to put it bottom 5.

I am working on this, I'm really trying my best to have my list submitted tomorrow. I've been training at work where I do normally do the most music listening which is why I'm so far behind. I do really want to submit for this one, I'm working on it.

I have about 10 more songs to go, am hoping to have this in by tomorrow afternoon.
A lot of good discoveries so far. Speaking of good discoveries... The album version (3:55) of LA Song (Beth Hart) is quite stronger than the single version (3:36) that was released to radio, IMO. You can find the album version on Spotify on a compilation album called The World of Singer Songwriters. For some reason the album that this came from Screaming for My Supper now only has the single version on Spotify. Or you can hear the album version here...

Any chance for an extra day or two? I'll try to do as much as I can tonight, but even one extra day would be very helpful.

Finished. So many great songs, I expect to lose half of my top 10 very early. I won't do well but I'll enjoy seeing where all the songs end up. I have no idea what is going to win at all. From what SHOOTER has been indicating, I also expect to lose many songs from my top ten early as "females outnumber males/ female voices continue to outnumber males" in the top 10.

Update: at the moment, it's now an even 5/5 split. I know Pulse tends to favor female voices in general so I'm kind of surprised so many male artists/bands have held on to their spots inside the top-10.

As a 2000s kid, Simple Plan was definitely not just a two hit wonder. Though before those two, they had I’d Do Anything charting Ahh yeah I thought of Simple Plan as way more than a 2-hit wonder as well. I know plenty of singles/videos from them, though mainly through TRL. I have no idea how their songs did as a whole on the charts so I'm guessing not too well? Has anyone thought of doing a rankdown for the two-hit wonders? Yeah looking through the two hit wonders extras, I would love to see this as some kind of rankdown for the future.

Sent. I have mixed feelings on this list. There were a handful of very nice songs (including five new discoveries bunched up in the #7-#11 range of my ranks) but almost as many songs I don't really care for or flat-out dislike. I feel like I'll actually do decently in this.
1: 5/5 2-6: 4.5/5 7-17: 4/5 18-25: 3.5/5 26-29: 3/5 30-36: 2.5/5 37-43: 2/5 44-47: 1.5/5 48-50: 1/5

Aww "Ordinary Day" was a really underrated song.
I loved "Killa." I wish that was a bigger hit for Cherish as that song was such a jam.
And I like "Get Like Me." Although I thought David Banner was more than a 2-hit wonder. Although I'm guessing he had many bigger hits on the R&B/Hip-Hop charts.

2000s One-Hit Wonders, Vol. 1 (Pre-Reveal Questions)1. Which songs do you expect to see inside the top-10?
2. Which songs are you hoping will finish inside the bottom-10?
3. Spoiler: #50 only left that position once; which song do you think will be first to get the boot?
4. Any guess which songs will end up with the highest and lowest SD?
5. Only one song in this set hit #1 on the Hot 100 ("Butterly" by Crazy Town); how far do you think it will go?
6. What was your favorite discovery (or rediscovery)?
7. Which song has aged the worst?
Last Batch of Extras (Two-Hit Wonders)( #10 Hot 100; preceded by Show Stopper, #8 Hot 100) ( #21 Hot 100; preceded by Let It Rock, #8 Hot 100) ( #32 Hot 100; follow-up to Replay, #2 Hot 100)

1. Which songs do you expect to see inside the top-10?
Idk what order but Blue, Take A Picture, I Try, Around The World, Better Off Alone, It Feels So Good, yea Idk but I think those could be top 10, even though 2 of those are not in my top half.
2. Which songs are you hoping will finish inside the bottom-10?
Idk what order but Oochie Wally, Left Right Left, I Like It, Aarons Party, One Voice, Wobble Wobble, Get Over Yourself, maybe Butterfly but I hope not, Idk what else. I have a few of those I listed top half. For the highest SDs, as for lowest SDs, I have no idea.
3. Spoiler: #50 only left that position once; which song do you think will be first to get the boot?
This is a tough one but I feel like it could be One Voice, Idk if anybody would boost that.
4. Any guess which songs will end up with the highest and lowest SD?
Blue, with a lot of high ranks, but a few very low ranks, The Bad Touch, Who Let The Dogs Out, and Butterfly which will have a lot of low ranks but some very high ranks.
5. Only one song in this set hit #1 on the Hot 100 ("Butterly" by Crazy Town); how far do you think it will go?
Unfortunately, it will probably be bottom 10 but could have a high SD with some high ranks. I do hope it could escape the bottom 10.
6. What was your favorite discovery (or rediscovery)?
The song I ranked at 11.
7. Which song has aged the worst?
I am going to say Crazy For This Girl, it made a year end list for 2001, and I think it is a good song when I hear it, but I literally remember nothing about it even after I finish hearing it, and I never hear this on the radio or anywhere ever. Just a song that is forgettable that people do not remember, but it is not bad.

I'm shocked, as I honestly thought with Kevin Rudolf that "Welcome to the World" charted well, but I looked again and saw it did ok but not great

I don't know how much justice I can do this, given how eclectic this list is:
1. Which songs do you expect to see inside the top-10?
I can't guess a full top 10 but I'm thinking Absolutely, Blue, I Try, Around The World, It Feels So Good, No More and maybe Shackles. I'm hoping the Bad Touch, but I'm sure there will be tankers
2. Which songs are you hoping will finish inside the bottom-10?
Aarons Party, I Like It, One Voice, Wobble Wobble, Get Over Yourself.
3. Spoiler: #50 only left that position once; which song do you think will be first to get the boot?
One Voice.
4. Any guess which songs will end up with the highest and lowest SD?
The Bad Touch, Who Let The Dogs Out, Butterfly, Oochie Wally.
5. Only one song in this set hit #1 on the Hot 100 ("Butterly" by Crazy Town); how far do you think it will go?
Top 20? Maybe top 15?
6. What was your favorite discovery (or rediscovery)?
The song I ranked at 1. I remember hearing of it and I think I heard it a few times but it didn't register much at the time.
7. Which song has aged the worst?
Have to agree with Crazy For This Girl. It's pretty generic. That said, I have a hard time believing One Voice ever sounded good.

2000s One-Hit Wonders, Vol. 1 (Pre-Reveal Questions) 1. Which songs do you expect to see inside the top-10? I can see "It Feels So Good", "Take A Picture", "Better Off Alone", "Gotta Tell You", "Babylon", "Get Up", "Around the World (La La La)", "I Try" and perhaps "Blue (Da Ba Dee)" if it can withstand the inevitable tankers. "Who I Am", "Heard It All Before" or even "Shackles (Praise You)" could be dark horse contenders, too. {Spoiler}6 of those are my top 6, so I'm being optimistic, lol. 2. Which songs are you hoping will finish inside the bottom-10? "Left, Right, Left", "One Voice", "Oochie Wally", "One Night Stand" (this one wasn't particularly bad, just such a nothing song), "Butterfly", "Wobble Wobble", "Aaron's Party", "Liar", and maybe "Purest of Pain". I'd like to see "Get Over Yourself" there, too, but I won't get my hopes up.3. Spoiler: #50 only left that position once; which song do you think will be first to get the boot? My guess would be one of the first three I mentioned in the previous question, but no idea which one of them.4. Any guess which songs will end up with the highest and lowest SD? "Blue (Da Ba Dee)" and "The Bad Touch" are obvious contenders for high SD's. So is "Who Let the Dogs Out". I can see "Butterfly", "Teenage Dirtbag", "Another Dumb Blonde", or even "Take A Picture" also being contenders. "One Night Stand" is something I expect to have a super low SD, because who even remembers how that one goes? Generally disliked songs such as "Left, Right, Left", "Oochie Wally", and "One Voice" (assuming people listened to the original on YouTube, rather than the much better-sounding Spotify version like I initially did) will probably also be widely agreed on, I imagine.5. Only one song in this set hit #1 on the Hot 100 ("Butterly" by Crazy Town); how far do you think it will go? Not far. If it has enough boosters, it might have a chance to barely escape the bottom ten, but I can't see it escaping the bottom fifteen.6. What was your favorite discovery (or rediscovery)? Definitely my #7. The first few seconds I heard it, I thought it sucked. Needless to say, it definitely grew on me a lot after that, lol. I'm not so sure it'll finish very high, though. Hoping for at least a top-half finish.7. Which song has aged the worst? Very subjective question, and one can make an argument for so many songs here, lol. Again, "One Night Stand" just seems to me like the type of song that no one would even remember how it goes a few minutes after listening to it.
(#32 Hot 100; follow-up to Replay, #1 Hot 100)
I think "Replay" peaked at #2, not #1.

1. Which songs do you expect to see inside the top-10? I Try, Take A Picture, and Better Off Alone feel like locks to me. Besides that I think It Feels So Good, Babylon, Heard it All Before, Get Up, Gotta Tell You and Dance Tonight have a shot. Maybe Shackles as a wildcard?
2. Which songs are you hoping will finish inside the bottom-10? Obv Aaron's Party and Who Let The Dogs Out, One Voice and Oochie Wally all feel like locks. I also think some of the sleepy AC ballads like Swear It Again and Purest Of Pain could end up there, and maybe something forgettable like One Night Stand
3. Spoiler: #50 only left that position once; which song do you think will be first to get the boot? Aaron Carter?
4. Any guess which songs will end up with the highest and lowest SD? I think Blue or the Bad Touch will have the highest SD. Lowest - One Night Stand maybe? I don't see many people caring about that one one way or the other (watch me be way off base about that)
5. Only one song in this set hit #1 on the Hot 100 ("Butterly" by Crazy Town); how far do you think it will go? Probably bottom 15, but I think familiarity bias will keep it out of the bottom ten
6. What was your favorite discovery (or rediscovery)? I don't think I had heard my #13 before - it was a really pleasant and soothing song all-around
7. Which song has aged the worst? I feel like a lot of the teen pop stuff (e.g. Mikaila, Aaron Carter, Hoku) and the aforementioned adult contemporary songs are very dated and obviously from the early 00s lol.
