I have to say this is a better choice than “Lay Down With You” which someone said in the album thread they’d heard a rumor it was the next single.

This was the predictable and reasonable choice, given its decent streaming so far. I can see this becoming a bigger hit than his previous singles, as it is already on Hot Country Chart, while it usually takes a while for his singles to gain enough traction to enter Hot Country Chart. Personally, I'm okay with this, it's a bit boring tbh.

Definitely the best choice at this point. This is showing major signs of moving the needle already, which is something an artist like Dylan Scott really needs because "New Truck" was a super low-impact hit for him despite going all the way to #1 on the country airplay charts. Smart move to go with this next.

It may be the smart choice but this is so bland to me. One day I hope I can hear his voice on something great. Till then I guess bland and inoffensive is better than bad.

This is doing well streaming wise and probably will be another radio hit but he continues to be faceless for me. With all the males in the format getting #1’s and solid radio play , it’s really hard to stand out and put a face to the songs folks are hearing. While I think people know who Dylan Scott is, he just doesn’t offer much to me in the format adding anything different. I actually dig his music but always feel like I can swap in Chris Lane, Russell Dickerson (etc.) vocals and it’d convey the same thing.

Bringing this thread back since it hasn't been updated since September.
This song has made it to #33 on Billboard and tomorrow will make it to #31 on Mediabase in 30 weeks. I have heard this song a few times on the radio and while the sentiment is nice, the song itself I find so boring as outside of the hook I remember nothing about this song, but this is probably a future Top 5 if not #1 (30 week pace, #33 on MMI callout). Oh and here's the music video since it was never posted.

I love how Dylan sets up ways to meet a romantic partner such as at a bar, in church, and meeting through a mutual friend. Then his next suggestion is that she could “show up out of the blue” as if he couldn’t think of any other locations.

Enters the Top 20 on Billboard Country Airplay after 40 weeks. Curious to see how high this gets as it continues to do fine, but it never feels like it is standing out from the pack. Luckily 40 weeks does give it enough time to keep going.

#1 on Billboard which is Dylan Scott's 3rd #1. Reaching the top in 62nd week on chart is 4th longest in history.

Probably not the worst #1 in terms of impact, but still a pretty big nothing of a hit song and is anyone outside of Dylan Scott stans (all 10 of them) and chart nerds going to remember this song a year from now? I would lean towards no.
That being said, I'm just ready for this song to get the hell off the chart as this is such a nothing song and radio has killed it into the ground.

Shame that this had to make it on BB but Tim McGraw had to miss. 🥴 I like Dylan Scott more than most on the board seem to, but I'm definitely beyond tired of this myself and looking forward to it freeing up chart space by gtfo.
Also, fwiw, this marks the 4th-slowest trip to the #1 spot on the charts with 62 weeks after the shared 65-week treks for Michael Ray's "Whiskey and Rain" and Travis Denning's "After a Few" and the 63-week climb for Scotty McCreery's "In Between."

I like Dylan, but this is kinda boring and have no business of taking a #1 spot while What He Didn’t or Heart Like A Truck missed it.
I’m ready for him to release Boys Back Home and introduce Marlowe to the mainstream radio though, as that song smashes and it is most likely to be an impactful hit.

I've never cared for him or his output, he gives an inauthentic wanna be country vibe to me, and I hope that doesn't offend anyone on here that might be a fan of his. Kind of meh on this getting BB #1, when I've seen so many others get blocked that deserved. (echo the comment above about WHDD and HLAT)
