Glad to see my #1 duke it out against the two weaker singles to make it clear up to the Top 3!!! Can’t be mad at either of the Top 2 results, even if I do slightly prefer “Angels,” so this Top 3 overall is perfect imo!

I honestly could put either one of these two songs in my top spot as it might just depend on my mood in that very moment. I enjoy both equally and in my eyes this is a win-win for both!

I am sure that there was absolutely no doubt in how this thing was going to finish, especially considering that these were the top 2 of her whole singles rankdown, but now we can say it's official! "There Is No Arizona" is now a multi-rankdown winner, and "When I Think About Angels" is the "Bye Bye" of "Jamie's career Both of these songs are just so awesome. I think that "Angels" is the catchier of the two, but "Arizona" just has such a delicious dark vibe and a unique premise. It's a very atmospheric listen. If you're gonna have your two biggest hits on your debut album, it doesn't get much more iconic than this pairing!

The right song won. Happy for the ending. As much as I enjoyed Angels better this time, my liking would still depend on my mood, while Arizona’s dark vibe is always enjoyable.

Great results overall! Really surprised how long "Where We Belong" lasted. In no way do I dislike it, but it's easily the least memorable song here for me.

“There is No Arizona” is a song that stands the test of time because of that melody and the production is so perfect for it. The opening to the song is almost haunted in nature, it’s just a truly epic masterpiece.

Glad to see "She Hasn't Heard It Yet" finish in the top 3 with the album's two juggernaut hits. Kinda reinforces my thought that it 100% should've been a single from the album, especially with the 20/20 hindsight of knowing "Shiver" and "Frantic" didn't deliver.
"Arizona" winning is the unsurprisingly albeit totally correct choice tho so yay!
Can't wait for another album RD for Jamie.

Stay tuned for the next album to come SOON!!!! (Now that this one is over, we are CLOSER TO...the next album ) I have no idea if anyone picked up on the fact that this was a super lame and obvious hint referring to Queen "Closer To Closure"... Because for our next album, we will be skipping from her first album to her latest (not counting the brand new Christmas album, of course)!! Sometimes came out in 2020 after she had been quiet for YEARS, and I can't even describe the hold that this album has had on me since then I was initially shook by just how perfect her vocals still are (seriously, she still sounds like she could be a new emerging threat to Maren Morris on this album, despite being of the Martina/Faith/Shania/Trisha generation). Then there was the all-star collaborations with people like Martina McBride, Sara Evans, and Lauren Alaina that have made her re-recorded hits take on new life in a really fun way. This is by far one of my favorite albums of the decade so far, and multiple songs on this album have been in my top songs on Last.fm for the last three years in a row... I'm sure nobody has listened to this album as much as I have, so hopefully those who decide to check it out are left with an overall positive impression!! I can't wait to see your thoughts!

I'll also add that "The World Goes On", "Closer To Closure", "Sometimes It's Too Late", and "Prettiest Wreck" were all in the New Releases rd, "Wreck Me" was in the 2020 year-end rankdown and the actual singles rankdown, plus several of these are re-recorded hits that you are probably already familiar with the originals for... So, hopefully this isn't a daunting task for those who are at least semi-active in the rankdown world. That being said, I'm hoping we don't see the reimagined hits dominate! I'm fine seeing some of them in the top 5 of course, as there are some that kick ass.....but a few of the new releases more than hold their own against them

No surprise that "There Is No Arizona" won (it's a phenomenal song), but I've always been partial to "When I Think About Angels".
I was so surprised when "Frantic" stalled out as a single - I always thought that one should have done much better, and that "No More Protecting My Heart" was Jamie's big hit that got away (at least from this album...there's a song from Brave that is an even bigger example of this).

We kick things off for this album with the album track "Jealousy". Imo there are a couple album tracks that are overshadowed by the rest of this album, and this is one of them, so I'm okay with this being last place! Nobody had this in their top half, so it was doomed to its fate pretty quickly.

And right after we all pretty much agreed on the last-place, losing the song with the smallest standard deviation...the top 2s suddenly start dropping like flies with our most polarizing song!!! "Someone's Sometimes" loses not one but TWO top two ranks from Kanenrá:ke and castleoblivion26 . This one is a duet with John Paul White, who if anyone is wondering who the heck he is, is the male singer from The Civil Wars. I definitely think this melody is one of the sleepiest on the album, but Jamie sounds absolutely incredible, and she and John Paul have a lot of chemistry in their harmonies, and overall I think that pushes this one to a tier above the bottom-few songs. The FOUR last-place ranks would disagree, however, and effectively cancelled out the top 2 ranks to make this a consistent contender for the bottom 2 spot. This did manage to finish nearly 20 points higher than "Jealousy" though, so that's pretty impressive!!

Welp, castleoblivion26 immediately gets his revenge against nathanalbright for tanking his #2, because now his last place takes out Nathan's #1! Personally I'm a bit surprised that "Jealousy" was the runaway last place contender instead of this one. Of all the album tracks on the album, this is the one that took the longest to grow on me. I do love it now, but it definitely has potential to sound grating in a way that stuff like "Prettiest Wreck" does not. It's also the farthest from Jamie's style, and definitely didn't sound all that natural coming from her the first time I heard it. The electronic elements are kinda weird. Overall I'm not surprised to see this leave now!

"Somebody's Hero" is a wonderful song! This version, however, falls FAR short of the original to me. In my opinion Sara, Martina, and Lauren all added enough to their songs to make them enjoyable at least for what they are, but Aliyah is not nearly as capable of a duet partner.
Anyone who is wondering who the heck Aliyah Good even is, this is Jamie's teenage daughter!!! So in that sense, it is super cool that they are dueting together on a song that celebrates the powerful bond between a mother and a daughter. But Aliyah just pronounces things so weird, and as powerful as he voice is, it really doesn't blend very well... Jamie has a powerful voice that usually sounds amazing alongside others, so I chalk it up to Aliyah's youth and lack of experience.
All that being said, this is fine, but ultimately feels more like a novelty performance than anything else on the album. And as much as I love this album, something had to be last place, and I think after 2 years this is the one that I tend to revisit the least.

well this is an interesting start so far. "Spin The Bottle" ABSOLUTELY should have been last place. That song just doesn't work for me and I'm okay with not listening to it again. Maybe I will someday and it'll grow on me, but I doubt it. Not terrible but the one song I want to revisit the least.
"Jealousy" is not bad, I do enjoy it well enough but deserves to be at the bottom.
"Somebody's Hero" is a great song and I do like to dynamic between her and Aliyah, though the vocals are not the greatest from Aliyah I think what helps this overcome that for me is the fact that it is a mother-daughter song performed by a mother-daughter.
now I'll talk about my #2: "Someone's Sometimes". This one I did not care for initially as it just felt like it droned on and on but everytime I listen to it there is just something about it that pulls me in. I think their voices sound great together and the lyrics are captivating. I think the production really works!
