I'm not totally in love with this song yet, but I'm sure that I will with time. Sharon has a knack of doing that for me.
My only regret is that Angel Olsen isn't also reaching new highs on AAA.

I do love Sharon, and this song is good but also it hasn’t *entirely* clicked with me.
Here To Forever was a solid first listen, overall DCFC make some solid bops.

I thought we would not be seeing this song until right before the top two, so, yeah, a little surprised it's showing up now.
I don't know if I like this as much as "Caution", but I'm glad that The Killers continue to be reliable over the last couple of years.

There is just something about Phoebe Bridgers' ballads that overwhelm me, especially at their best.

This doesn't really sound all that special compared to what Bob Moses are capable of at their best, but only "Heaven Only Knows" really hooked me in as quick as this song did, so it must be doing something right. Also likely my #1 in the Alt RD, but that's neither here nor there lol |

I can't think of many other scenarios where a band left for over a decade and then came back, releasing a song that is as good or perhaps even better than their previous best material.
Even as someone that has liked or even loved MCR songs in the past, 3:22 might be their single best moment.

It's the obvious result, but it's the correct one. That said, I'm so glad that I found out about "Tek It" through it winning a WTM seed, it's so freaking good. I could almost consider #2 a tie between "Tek It" and "Love Brand New", as I love both, for different reasons. In a way, Daryl the Beryl, it's almost fitting that this RD reaches its conclusion right as we're about to head into year-end season. As always, great job hosting, and I hope to see you hosting another RD soon, whenever you're not too busy. |
