Watch it actually be Rihanna, it gets confirmed, then announced, then speculation that she’ll HAVE to drop new music - and single and/or album announcement, and the hype is HUGE!
Every Thursday at 11:59pm ET everyone is on the edge of their seat wondering if THIS is the week something drops.
Thursday after Thursday until Superbowl weekend: it HAS to be this week. She wouldn’t command the biggest stage in the world and not use it to launch her musical comeback.
Then Superbowl Sunday, the halftime show arrives. Rihanna does her performance. Kills it. Breaks the internet. Best halftime ever. Record breaking applause. The building collapses due to the intensity of the applause.
But she trolled us the whole time, because there was never going to be new music.

Men, women, old, young, grandparents and little kids can get behind her music. If I recall, there were reports she turned it down in years past because of the NFL Kaepernick / race controversies, etc. if those prior reports are true, I wonder what finally got her to agree. |
