I mean, I’m frustrated as well that we haven’t seen her performing the arguably best album in her catalog so far. But at the same time it feels too calculated, maybe a bit of a mess here and there behind the scenes, but I think they were always gunning for the long run with this album. And so far it worked tremendously well. When was the last time she had two consecutive radio smashes, with a decent pop performance as well? It could smash harder on streaming, but at least it’s stable. I wouldn’t be surprised if her team even tries to push a third single.

Making herself less available now in her career makes it a big deal when she tours, does do an award show or even puts out a project. Isn’t she doing a stadium tour at some point in the near future or am I making that up? She’ll probably have some big streaming special if she does put out the visuals. Do I want to see her perform of course. I’m hoping she throws the Grammys a performance…

This song is such a huge cultural event. It's all over social media and everyone goes crazy for it in the clubs.
So much potential. Smh.

We love a multi-format smash. There's also no reason they shouldn't have worked this at AC as well.

Yes Pop radio, that's how you do it. *_* HAC please follow Pop's example. We love a multi-format smash. There's also no reason they shouldn't have worked this at AC as well. To be fair AC is currently in its Christmas mode. It may enter the top 50 of the format post-Christmas.

Rhythmic/Urban/R&B please keep this climbing/stable whilst Pop radio catches up! Happy to see it picking up on Pop radio.#
Just having a glance at the pop radio chart and it looks like it has a pretty good path towards the top 10. The only song behind it that could overtake is Taylor's "Lavender Haze" which is picking up quite a lot. Here's a list of songs:
#5. "Bad Habit" 6,388 spins ahead (+380) #6. "Die For You" 6,030 spins ahead (+68) #7. "Vegas" 4,873 spins ahead (+303) #8. "I Like You...f/Doja Cat" 3,878 spins ahead (+222) #9. "As It Was" 3,323 spins ahead (+167) #10. "Victoria's Secret" 2,204 spins ahead (+205) #11. "Star Walkin (League of Legends)" 2,058 spins ahead (+58) #12. "Unstoppable" 606 spins ahead (+321) #13. "Made You Look" 263 spins ahead (-64) #14. "Wasted On You" 169 spins ahead (+94)
#21. "Lavender Haze" 2,804 spins behind (-182 spins)
It'll likely take a couple weeks for it to get into the top 10 - or perhaps less if it manages to pick up even more/some songs ahead of it start falling faster.

Luckily once Vegas/ ILY / AIW fall out of the top 10 they will go recurrent. Hope this keeps up the steam. This deserves to go top 5.

Another good day for gains. This is definitely becoming my favourite Beyonce single. Maybe because it matches my recent mood so well.

It’s enough, I need Miss Blue to take control and bully this evil woman to get her s*** together. Give us the date for visuals, tour announcement, a big remix and multiple versions for Cuff Hit by the time Christmas has cooled down and finally some performances. It‘s beyond ridiculous at this point.

She's probably gonna perform at the Grammys, if Cuff It can manage to not peak before then, it might just do the trick. Would make perfect sense for her to perform this with Nile Rogers and Sheila E since they're both on the record, but knowing her, she will probably perform Plastic Off The Sofa or Church Girl instead...

A week ago this song had its first huge update in a while, it’s still a bigger drop than expected, but not a shock. It should stabilise around New Year then begin to drop, so pretty much on par with my prediction of it peaking on Urban first.
December was always going to be volatile for songs that are making a push to the top positions, we can panic once it really starts free falling. Not to mention radio wasn’t gonna push it that much further up Hot 100 anyway with the streaming numbers it current has.

I think it’s a good thing that it dropped on urban . If it continued like that for about a week then it would have peaked. Falling slightly behind tomorrow 2 which has the more spins and audience impressions means it now has more room to grow and will repeak eventually. Let’s see how it plays out.

You completely misunderstood what I said, you somehow interpreted it as the exact opposite. You were more in disagreement with Az Paynter than me. I actually said the drop was not panic-worthy, that it’s part of the stabilising process. But it is indication that it would be the first format to peak.

"Stabilising" is Urban (and probably now Rhythmic, and likely R&B soon too) undercutting any kind of audience gain this can get from Pop and Hot AC. Which means that it's going to be very hard for this to get much bigger on overall radio. That's why peaking now on those formats was an epic fail. This pretty much lost AI today because of Urban.

I think Columbia simply wanted #1 peak at last, knwoing that she won't do anything with this.

...but they could've had that and an easy run at top 10 (and maybe top 5) post-Christmas? Peaking on radio now only makes it a lot harder to get the Hot 100 peak later. Point blank, it was too soon for this.

As long as Rhythmic, Urban and R&B don’t drop it too fast, with Pop and HAC steadily gaining at the same time, we’re looking at a top 10 peak on the Hot 100 early January, which is the most I expect at this point. A push, in whatever form, could change that obviously, and I wonder if that’s what they‘re gunning for with the Grammys on the horizon.

Urban is Bey's core format, they're gonna send her songs flying up. Urban radio isn't planning their spins around Pop radio so she'll get a higher Hot 100 peak, lol. If anything, Pop and Hot AC have moved too slow. And BMS peaked in August, Columbia couldn't sit around for over four months without sending something to at least her core format. Especially given it's streaming and virality at the time.
It stinks that the song isn't peaking at formats simultaneously. And it sucks that timing has put it in contention with sh*tty Christmas music. But it is what it is. Hopefully the Pop and Hot AC spins offset the losses at Urb/Rhy/R&B and this can maintain steady overall airplay numbers.

Slightly O/T, but when did they implement an R&B airplay chart? Is it just taking the place of Urban AC?

Cuff It is dropping fast there bc its sound isn’t exactly Urban’s core offering these days, it shot to No.1 bc it’s a Beyoncé song. Whenever a song goes to No.1 bc of the status of the artist (or nepotism in King Combs’ case), it usually drops fast. Hopefully it will stabilise on Rhythmic and Pop picks up speed, those are the 2 formats where Cuff It should really thrive on.

Slightly O/T, but when did they implement an R&B airplay chart? Is it just taking the place of Urban AC? Urban AC was renamed to R&B. I forget when exactly that happened. Early last year?
