Miss YouWritten by David Pramik, Marshmello, Oliver Tree Nickell Produced by Southstar (according to Genius) A reworked version of Jerk by Oliver Tree. It's rising fast on Global Spotify, where it's currently sitting at #13. There seems to be a controversy about Robin's credit, though. https://www.instagram.com/p/CjuwCHHgmkf Southstar version: Jerk:

The rights issue with this song is one of the most insane things I've ever seen.

Didn’t something similar happen with Eric Prydz’s Call On Me? From what I recall that descended into a convoluted mess of information.
I'm not condoning potential theft here but Schulz’s mix sounds superior and therefore elevates the track imo; I also hear some nuances that are more than mastering differences. Still both are currently in the UK singles, Dance/Electronic charts and southstarr does add in a clever ‘F**K Copycats” shot in the music video. There is however absolutely no need for the two sped up versions.

Southstar made the original version using an unlicensed sample of Oliver Tree's vocal.

I find it hilarious that Schulz has posted nothing about this track on his socials. Guess he knows he's the s**tty guy in this situation. Welp! We don't know the full story. 1. People like Robin Schulz are constantly being given songs to mix, master, etc. They spend half an hour putting a bit of EQ, compression, etc, for a bit of money, and then forget about the song (in most cases they don't become hits like this). 2. Robin Schulz may not have ever heard this song before. From his perspective it might have been just another random song his label is asking him to touch up. 3. Robin Schulz may not have asked or wanted to be credited as an artist. 4. Isn't it possible that Robin schulz hasn't posted anything about this track because he didn't make the song, and maybe doesn't even like it? 5. Robin Schulz is signed to a major record label, which means that he has gag orders on him to not reveal the inner workings of the music industry (or the celebrity world in general) to the public unless he has permission. He has to sign NDAs (Non-Disclosure Agreements), again which means he is not allowed to say very much to the public. Remember the time when Taylor Swift wrote This Is What You Came For under a fake name? And nobody knew about it for MONTHS. Until they decided to reveal it (as an obvious publicity stunt btw). How could just a big pop star write such a big hit song and it gets kept secret for months? Through gag orders and NDAs, that's how. Everybody involved in anyway who knew this was made to sign contracts, etc, saying they have to keep it secret or they'll get severely punished. So that's how they managed to pull that stunt off. Anyway, my point is it's a definite possibility he basically got duped or tricked into this. All his managers have to do is get him to work on the song a tiny bit, and then they can use that as justification to make him a lead artist and release the song under his name. He's signed so many contracts and essentially sold his soul, so there's nothing he can do about it now. Best he can do is keep quiet. Maybe he can beg his bosses for permission to be allowed to say something vague about it in an interview in the coming months to hopefully alleviate any backlash against him.
