I would be surprised if this misses on Billboard based off of the audience and spin totals even right now. I can see why everyone dislikes this song with the near zero buzz it has but I think it’s catchy and fits well at radio. I do think this has a chance at #1 on radio, but I really do hope and think Nate Smith can block this from #1 on Billboard as I imagine now that he (Nate Smith) is #1 I hope Sony holds onto the #1 for "World On Fire". I hope so at least.

Debut at #88 on Hot 100 this week. It only took 56 weeks to debut. This has to be one of the lowest streaming songs to get number one (assuming it gets there).

I’d say this got blocked on Billboard but since they have no chart history data for either George or Nate there’s no way of knowing until the charts come out this coming week.

Kind of relieved this is restricted to a Mediabase only #1 as this song has just been probably the least streamed song to make it this high on the chart in a long time. I understand that radio callout matters and radio has a fair amount of reasons to rely on it. But this song at best deserved a Top 20 peak imo.

Sad to see it miss being his first “true” number one but still very happy to see this make the top 5. Probably the first and last time we really see any success out of him so for everyone that isn’t happy with the high peak this should be a one time thing.

Definitely not a lot of buzz around it, especially for a #1.

Again, annoyed that a song with zero consumer interest gets a pass to go #1 because he’s a dude, while Ghost Story, If You Go Down, Pick Me Up, Circles Around This Town, Light on In The Kitchen, Everything She Ain’t, If He Wanted To He Would, moved the needle MUCH more than this nothingness song over the past year or so, but radio said meh no thanks.

Yeah I could somewhat be okay with some of those female songs missing the top 5/10/20 if "Mind On You" had died out in the 40s or heck even 30s, but it really rubs me the wrong way that this song has less than 2 million views on YouTube and songs by women that were more popular didn’t do better. Meanwhile "Worth A Shot" with Elle King and Dierks Bentley has over 2.3 million and that scraped the Top 40, "If You Go Down" has 3.4 million and died out in the teens , "Everything She Ain’t" is at 7.2 and took foreever to scrap the Top 15 on Mediabase, and "If He Wanted To He Would" is over 13 million views on YouTube. Yet none of them made the Top 10 on radio. I know that no one in the industry is reading this. But country radio, I get you relying on callout scores, but good callout scores should only get a song to the Top 30 to Top 25 at best. Natural consumer interest should be the thing that really cements what are the hit songs from the pretenders and posers and "Mind On You" is one of the biggest pretend hits that have climbed the charts in a long time if ever.

Looks like this might be crossing over to Pop/HAC as a remix is now available to download under AllAccess’ downloads.

I like the remix a lot but I don’t know how well this can do outside of country with the awful streaming numbers.

Lol no way in hell this crosses over; I expect this to be a total non-starter. There's been more male and more male country singers crossing over to the CHR/HAC charts, but it's only the biggest of big hits.
