Artist: Morgan Wallen Single: "Thought You Should Know" Writers: Nicolle Galyon, Miranda Lambert, Morgan Wallen Album: TBA Label: Big Loud Impact Date: TBA
According to a new advertisement in Monday Morning Intel, the next country radio single from Morgan Wallen is “Thought You Should Know”. It’ll be on programmers desk next Tuesday which I assume is the day it’ll impact or be officially be sent?

Think this is a good choice. Prefer it much more than "You Proof."

Was immediate from the first time I heard the acoustic version. Sounds like this will be included on his next record, along with these other one-off tracks? Either way, it’ll be a huge hit going into the new year and probably be his next crossover hit.

If it's going to be released "next Tuesday".. I'm assuming that means they'll try to push for a 5th Billboard week at #1?

Thank goodness.. I would've been mad if "You Proof" prevented this spectacular song from seeing the radio. After two underwhelming radio singles, I'm stoked about this release. This song has fantastic production, vocal, and lyrics. 10 out of 10 song.

This is the kind of stuff from him that sticks. The past 2 singles have straight up sucked. Doesn't mean they didn't move the needle or weren't huge hits... this will be much more welcomed.

I was fine with "Wasted on You", but not with "You Proof" as a follow up. This is much better.

I still stand by I wish they would've rode the double album out for another single or two. Makes sense to push "You Proof" given how well it was connecting, but there are some absolute gems being left on the double album (865 and Still Goin Down in particular.)

I can live with this being a single, it’s a really strong song and offers something different from him. But like someone else mentioned, there were some gems from the double album that’ll go unreleased now (Still Goin’ Down, Dangerous, Somebody’s Problem, etc.).

Oh great news! "You Proof" sucked ass, but this song is great. Glad he's back with another winner after a pair of duds (didn't care for "Wasted on You" either).
Also, as much as Dangerous has lots of potential for further country hits, the album is coming up on its 2 year anniversary very soon, and I'm sure Morgan Wallen is ready to put out more new music sooner rather than later, so I am not surprised they're itching to move on. They could milk the double album for another year if they wanted to and radio and fans would continue to eat the stuff up, but there's really no need to continue to ride that era out. The record will continue to hover at or near the top of the charts selling/streaming well for quite some time -- it's already completely blown the record for most weeks at #1 out of the water -- even with no further radio releases.

Interesting that the version sent out on PlayMPE this morning isn't a radio edit..

Interesting that the version sent out on PlayMPE this morning isn't a radio edit.. They'll send out one or let local radio edit it themselves.

This is a really good choice for the next single. I imagine it will be a huge hit for him.

Didn't fully understand releasing the standalone tracks (although I loved them) when there are plenty of good songs on the album, especially considering the amount of songs on there.

I don't understand why they didn't add these standalone to Dangerous as part of a deluxe edition. It's fairly common now even with albums with 20+ tracks. It seems like it'd work better to tack these on and continue to mine the parent album since his tracks fly up radio far faster than the average artist. Kick-off the new era in Summer 23.

"Thought You Should Know" has to be the fastest climber in quite awhile. With Thomas Rhett's "Half Of Me" with Riley Green leaving Mediabase today and going recurrent, this will be at #11 ALREADY and that is only like 4 to 5 weeks it has taken to get this far up the chart! Morgan, love or hate him, radio can't get enough of this guy. He is destroying the charts right now with radio all over him.
