I was a huge fan of Blossoms' first two albums. Foolish Loving Spaces was a letdown but had a few solid songs, then Ribbon Around the Bomb kinda felt the same. This was easily the highlight of the album. I feel like their songs lately have kind of had the same feel, but I love the vibe of this one.

#14 is the last song to not hit the top 10 at any point. It came close, as it peaked at #11, but it only was there once.
#14 preview:
#1's: 0 Top 5's: 1 Top 10's: 5 Top halves: 6 Bottom halves: 11 Bottom 5's: 2 #25's: 0

Day Wave is someone I am surprised isn't bigger than he is. I feel like he's in the same vein as Dayglow. Definitely a super consistent bedroom pop indie artist. I hoped this one would chart on AAA when it was sent, but it never ended up charting.

As I said for "Where Do You Go"'s preview: that was our last song to not place in the top 10. From now on, the rides get a little bumpier. For #13, we have the bumpiest of all. This song is our most traveled song in the whole rankdown. It went as low as #16, but it went all the way as high as #2. Despite this, this is not in our top 3 highest standard deviations.
#13 preview:
#1's: 1 Top 5's: 2 Top 10's: 7 Top halves: 8 Bottom halves: 9 Bottom 5's: 4

My condolences Triple 9. This was definitely the song I was most interested to see how it would perform. I was very surprised to not see this as the highest standard deviation, let alone even top 3. Dallas Green has some of my favorite vocals, and he is really what makes Alexisonfire for me. Normally screamo is not my thing, but Dallas' vocals plus the music really make me like them. "This Could Be Anywhere in the World" is an all-timer for me. Otherness is arguably my favorite album of the year. It's an album I've been frequently going back to.

Sans Soleil and Reverse the curse are the songs for me from the new Alexisonfire album, but this a good track too

I believe #12 is our first song to feature more top halves than bottom halves! This is another well traveled song (4th highest), and it carries a big distinction. This is the first song to show up that spent time at #1 – and it spent multiple lists at #1.

Sans Soleil and Reverse the curse are the songs for me from the new Alexisonfire album, but this a good track too "Reverse the Curse" goes off. Probably my next "single" for that album in my currents playlist.

I love the sonic change from "Sweet Dreams of Otherness" to this for reveals lmao. NIGHT TRAVELER is one of my favorite bands. I really love their writing, as it always hits home for me, and I'm a sucker for this kind of sound which they do so well. A lot of their songs really remind me of my fiancé and I's relationship, so I always develop a really personal connection to their music. This one is no different.

Our final reveal of the night, and our final song to not hit the top 10. #11 is our first song to not have any bottom 5's connected to it. This spent more time in the top 10 than it did outside of it, and it looked like it would finish in the top 10 if not for the last day of senders.
#11 preview:
#1's: 0 Top 5's: 5 Top 10's: 7 Top halves: 8 Bottom halves: 9 Bottom 5's: 0

This is definitely The Band CAMINO's most interesting song in terms of songwriting. This one is about The Mandela Effect, and it's actually a reference to The Berenstain Bears. A little story time about this song: I had gone to see them for my second time while they were in Boston at the House of Blues in April of this year. The House of Blues offers this thing where if you pay like $20 at their restaurant next door, you get access to their Foundation Room which is like a private bar upstairs with its own bathroom, and you get early access inside of the venue, so my fiancé and friends thought it was a good idea to invest. We got our little wristbands, and they checked us at the door and were like "alright you guys can go upstairs." We started walking towards, and we just hear "Berenstein" playing. We kept walking and thinking and went like "wait...", we bolt up the stairs, and there's the fu cking Band CAMINO just casually playing a whole ass acoustic set for their VIP guests (it's like $100 or so to get in to this), and here is the House of Blues just sending us up during it lmao. Got to watch them do a few songs acoustically for free. To make it even funnier, everyone left to go downstairs to the venue for early access while we had to wait for 30 minutes or so after them. The Band CAMINO didn't go down with them though, they just casually walked out of the corner of the room they were hiding in and were like "oh hey guys!" when we were the only four in the room lmao. Cool guys.

I agree with 7 of these top 10 songs, so I like most of them enough that I would come back to listen to them again. Still I hope my #1 wins.

I’m especially sad to see Late Night Radio miss the top 10, it’s got such a nice vibe that I like.
1 4 6 7 8 9 10 11 16 17, solid top 10! I didn’t have a 100% clear idea of what the top 10 would be, but like a lot of the songs I expected to make it did.

My #1 and lyhom's as well. Foals is definitely one of my favorite bands these days. I love the summery vibe they went for for Life is Yours. I wish they sent this as the second single off the album instead of "2 AM" since that one flopped, and now I don't really see them trying again. This is a complete bop and one of my top songs of the summer.

My condolences to Gates and aero. Congrats to Az who finally gets rid of his #25 – the last one left. This is one song that came up in Spotify's autoplay after listening to a playlist. I've randomly had good luck this year with Spotify's algorithm introducing me to great songs / bands lmao. This is one of them. Something about the lead singer reminds me of Guster if they did noise rock.

Another Discover Weekly song, and the final one of DW songs in the rankdown. I love the eerie feeling of this song. This sound hits right in my sweet spot, and it's really hard for you to make a song like this that I would dislike.

This is the song I was most excited to see do as well as it did. Only I would choose a song to feature in a rankdown that has four views on YouTube lmao (17K on Spotify though). One of the members of the band (I think the lead singer?) is a White Sox fan, and I only checked this out because I liked the album cover when he shared the link on his Twitter page lmao. Ended up really liking this and "Dead Dads Club" which have been two of my most played songs of the year. Their album is pretty solid. A lot of different sounds but all very good.
