So, apparently, for the R&B chart, Billboard uses a different formula. I was using BB old R&B/Hip Hop 2000s decade end formula and not the GOAT one. So here is the 60s decade by using a formula closer to BB's Goat R&B/Hip Hop list. -If anyone has any questions where a certain song ranks on the decade end, just ask. -Songs in bold mean that they made the Hot 100 decade end list Rank | Song | Artist | Peak | Points | 1 | The Twist | Chubby Checker | 2 (3) | 1,307,760 | 2 | Tossin' And Turnin' | Bobby Lewis | 1 (10) | 1,290,260 | 3 | Please Mr. Postman | The Marvelettes | 1 (7) | 1,201,971 | 4 | I Can't Stop Loving You | Ray Charles | 1 (10) | 1,181,120 | 5 | Baby (You've Got What It Takes) | Dinah Washington & Brook Benton | 1 (10) | 1,151,221 | 6 | Ain't Too Proud To Beg | The Temptations | 1 (8) | 1,093,040 | 7 | Soul Man | Sam & Dave | 1 (7) | 1,051,900 | 8 | I Can't Get Next To You | The Temptations | 1 (5) | 1,049,300 | 9 | I Can't Help Myself | Four Tops | 1 (9) | 1,031,456 | 10 | I Heard It Through The Grapevine | Marvin Gaye | 1 (7) | 1,009,040 | 11 | I Heard It Through The Grapevine | Gladys Knight And The Pips | 1 (4) | 996,120 | 12 | Too Busy Thinking About My Baby | Marvin Gaye | 1 (6) | 993,684 | 13 | Respect | Aretha Franklin | 1 (8) | 993,440 | 14 | My Guy | Mary Wells | 1 (7) | 978,900 | 15 | 634-5789 (Soulsville, U.S.A.) | Wilson Pickett | 1 (4) | 977,599 | 16 | Kiddio | Brook Benton | 1 (9) | 972,980 | 17 | Shop Around | The Miracles (featuring Bill "Smokey" Robinson) | 1 (8) | 971,601 | 18 | It's All Right | The Impressions | 1 (5) | 962,798 | 19 | Louie Louie | The Kingsmen | 1 (6) | 954,600 | 20 | Tell It Like It Is | Aaron Neville | 1 (5) | 952,089 | 21 | Hold On! Hmmm...it's the way most of these songs are still popular today.
Can't believe how big Lionel was on this format, speaking that his music was pop...

-This is the 2000s Hip Hop/R&B decade end list using the new formula that is close to BB's. -With this new formula some songs rose and fell. For example, Heaven Sent rose tremulously and Blame It fell a few spots. -I will say I love that Heaven Sent is #4. Heaven Sent is possibly the best R&B song from the 21st century. -Who would've thought Michael Jackson would've gotten another decade end hit. This makes Michael Jackson the 1st artist to chart at least 1 song on a decade end chart for four decades in a row. (1970s: Don't Stop Till You Get Enough, 1980s: Billie Jean, 1990s: Remember The Time, 2000s: Butterflies) -Be Without You definitely felt like the biggest R&B song of the decade. It was played to death on radio and you literally could not escape this song. This song had urban stations/BET/VH1 in a chokehold. Rank | Song | Artist | Peak | Points | 1 | Be Without You | Mary J. 2010s decade end: -Due to the formula change songs like Thrift Shop, Sunflower, Fancy, Can't Hold Us were able to chart. I can personally tell you, with the exception of Fancy, no urban stations were heavily rotating the aforementioned four just to name a few. -Congrats to Monica and Usher for joining the club of charting at least 1 song on a decade end for three decades in a row. They join the elite club with acts like Aretha, Stevie, & Marvin. -Maybe a little margin of error, due tot he fact BB changed their multiplier in the middle of a year, and no to mention the fact BB sliced the chart down to 50 positions... again. 1 | Thrift Shop | Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Featuring Wanz | 1 (14) | 1,536,799 | 2 | That's What I Like | Bruno Mars | 1 (10) | 1,470,695 | 3 | Blurred Lines | Robin Thicke Featuring T.I. + Pharrell | 1 (16) | 1,336,220 | 4 | Sunflower (Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse) | Post Malone & Swae Lee | 1 (11) | 1,325,628 | 5 | The Hills | The Weeknd | 1 (6) | 1,325,501 | 6 | Rockstar | Post Malone Featuring 21 Savage | 1 (14) | 1,313,200 | 7 | One Dance | Drake Featuring WizKid & Kyla | 1 (18) | 1,221,150 | 8 | Sicko Mode | Travis Scott | 1 (10) | 1,204,088 | 9 | Happy | Pharrell Williams | 1 (12) | 1,196,639 | 10 | God's Plan | Drake | 1 (11) | 1,167,360 | 11 | Trap Queen | Fetty Wap | 2 (13) | 1,113,290 | 12 | Motivation | Kelly Rowland Featuring Lil Wayne | 1 (7) | 1,038,661 | 13 | Can't Be Friends | Trey Songz | 1 (13) | 1,026,740 | 14 | Un-Thinkable (I'm Ready) | Alicia Keys | 1 (12) | 1,019,670 | 15 | Can't Hold Us | Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Featuring Ray Dalton | 1 (7) | 1,018,317 | 16 | Sure Thing | Miguel | 1 | 1,009,200 | 17 | There Goes My Baby | Usher | 1 (4) | 1,002,080 | 18 | Hotline Bling | Drake | 1 (11) | 985,659 | 19 | Lucid Dreams | Juice WRLD | 1 (2) | 975,300 | 20 | Better Now | Post Malone | 2 (2) | 969,520 | 21 | I'm On One | DJ Khaled Featuring Drake, Rick Ross & Lil Wayne | 1 (11) | 968,820 | 22 | All Of Me | John Legend | 1 (3) | 959,900 | 23 | See You Again | Wiz Khalifa Featuring Charlie Puth | 1 (14) | 946,100 | 24 | Work | Rihanna Featuring Drake | 1 (11) | 943,820 | 25 | Climax | Usher | 1 (11) | 918,240 | 26 | Bodak Yellow (Money Moves) | Cardi B | 1 (6) | 903,500 | 27 | Old Town Road | Lil Nas X Featuring Billy Ray Cyrus | 1 (20) | 888,960 | 28 | Diamonds | Rihanna | 1 (14) | 881,605 | 29 | Can't Feel My Face | The Weeknd | 1 (9) | 872,520 | 30 | Fancy | Iggy Azalea Featuring Charli XCX | 1 (13) | 868,360 | 31 | Look At Me Now | Chris Brown Featuring Lil Wayne & Busta Rhymes | 1 (8) | 864,240 | 32 | Watch Me | Silento | 2 (7) | 863,720 | 33 | I Like It | Cardi B, Bad Bunny & J Balvin | 1 (2) | 856,920 | 34 | Adorn | Miguel | 1 (4) | 856,320 | 35 | Deuces | Chris Brown Featuring Tyga & Kevin McCall | 1 (9) | 846,423 | 36 | Ni**as in Paris | Jay Z Kanye West | 1 (7) | 834,840 | 37 | Mercy | Kanye West, Big Sean, Pusha T, 2 Chainz | 1 (5) | 834,680 | 38 | Needed Me | Rihanna | 1 (2) | 833,500 | 39 | Panda | Desiigner | 1 (2) | 827,500 | 40 | Lotus Flower Bomb | Wale Featuring Miguel | 1 (5) | 822,800 | 41 | Hold On, We're Going Home | Drake Featuring Majid Jordan | 1 (5) | 815,699 | 42 | The Monster | Eminem Featuring Rihanna | 1 (13) | 811,400 | 43 | Humble. | Kendrick Lamar | 1 (2) | 810,960 | 44 | Starboy | The Weeknd Featuring Daft Punk | 1 (7) | 808,000 | 45 | Earned It (Fifty Shades Of Grey) | The Weeknd | 1 (2) | 806,300 | 46 | Bad And Boujee | Migos Featuring Lil Uzi Vert | 1 (10) | 801,440 | 47 | In My Feelings | Drake | 1 (11) | 798,960 | 48 | Nice For What | Drake | 1 (8) | 797,500 | 49 | Unforgettable | French Montana Featuring Swae Lee | 2 (2) | 790,880 | 50 | Psycho | Post Malone Featuring Ty Dolla $ign | 1 | 790,760 | 51 | 679 | Fetty Wap Featuring Remy Boyz | 3 (7) | 786,345 | 52 | No Hands | Waka Flocka Flame Featuring Roscoe Dash & Wale | 2 | 785,689 | 53 | Black Beatles | Rae Sremmurd Featuring Gucci Mane | 1 (7) | 781,366 | 54 | Love On Top | Beyonce | 1 (6) | 774,850 | 55 | Jumpman | Drake & Future | 3 | 768,580 | 56 | Me, Myself & I | G-Eazy x Bebe Rexha | 2 (8) | 762,832 | 57 | Everything To Me | Monica | 1 (7) | 759,599 | 58 | Girl On Fire | Alicia Keys Featuring Nicki Minaj | 2 (2) | 754,272 | 59 | Truth Hurts | Lizzo | 1 (11) | 752,243 | 60 | No Lie | 2 Chainz Featuring Drake | 1 (5) | 751,559 | 61 | Holy Grail | Jay Z Featuring Justin Timberlake | 2 (12) | 746,751 | 62 | It Kills Me | Melanie Fiona | 1 (9) | 743,590 | 63 | Talk Dirty | Jason Derulo Featuring 2 Chainz | 2 (6) | 738,647 | 64 | Wild Thoughts | DJ Khaled Featuring Rihanna & Bryson Tiller | 1 (7) | 738,028 | 65 | I'm The One | DJ Khaled Featuring Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance The Rapper & Lil Wayne | 1 (5) | 736,005 | 66 | I Don't F**k With You | Big Sean Featuring E-40 | 1 (8) | 732,756 | 67 | Aston Martin Music | Rick Ross Featuring Drake & Chrisette Michele | 2 (5) | 728,138 | 68 | Broccoli | D.R.A.M. I hate how BB's stupid rule change literally change the chart to mimic Hot 100 results on an R&B chart. Blinding Lights did not even chart on the airplay component of the chart and yet it is #1, due to the stupid rule change. I hope BB will alter it's multiplier later on down the line so that Be Without You can keep it's #1 spot.

I hate BB's stupid rule change too. But they started a new chart called Top R&B song chart which using urban airplay data instead of all formats. Do you have a list of 90S and 00s by using GOAT fomula?

What's the difference of 00S fomula and goat fomula? The difference is that the OLD 2000s formula does not match the GOAT one. So what I did what use the GOAT formula (the new formula) for the 2000s decade.

What's the difference of 00S fomula and goat fomula? The difference is that the OLD 2000s formula does not match the GOAT one. So what I did what use the GOAT formula (the new formula) for the 2000s decade. Do you know which airplay charts are used for R&B/HIP HOP chart before 2013? R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay Adult R&B Airplay and Rhythmic Airplay? Billboard really ruined the chart since the methodology was changed starting with the October 20, 2012 issue form to match the Billboard Hot 100's. Thrift Shop even failed to chart on R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay

How did you deal with the song charted during 2009/2010? Have you considered the full chart runs? In goat system, Billboard defined a song's date by its peaked date to avoid the songs which charted between two different decades. Billboard considered Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen a 90s hit and using its full chart runs. www.billboard.com/charts/greatest-billboards-top-songs-90s/Would you like to post the decade chart like this? U Know What's Up (1999/2000) Donell Jones ranked at #19 on GOAT chart missing on your list
Tender Lover (1989/1990) Babyface ranked at #50 on GOAT chart missing on your list
Make It Like It Was by Regina Belle was ranked at #82 on GOAT but only at number 65 on your 90s list. both for Here And Now by Luther Vandros, I'Ll Be Good To You by Quincy Jones and so on...

Crazy thing is 1989, due to the multiplier, had a crazy thing where a lot of songs made the GOAT. 1989 and 1990 share the same multiplier, however, Here and Now was able to gain enough points to make the decade end and so was Make It Like It Was. The cut off date was the very last week of the decade. That why some songs that are on GOAT didn't make the cut for the decade.

Would you please post all the songs with over 750,000 points with their full runs which didn't make the list due to the December cut off? Especially for songs that charted in two decades.

Which chart is more similar with the old chart after the change since Oct 2012? Hot r&b songs (rhythmic & urban radio plus sps sales) or R&B/hip-hop airplay chart?
I had checked Hot R&B song chart, i found that Blinding Lights has been on top for 48 weeks but failed to chart on R&B/hip-hop airplay chart It failed to chart on Adult r&b airplay either. It peaked only at number two on Rhythmic Airplay.
How much did sales contributed to R&B/HIP-HOP chart before 2012?
Also they only track physical single sales in African-american communities before digital era right?

Also they only track physical single sales in African-american communities before digital era right? The R&B/Hip Hop airplay chart is more similar to the charts pre 2012. At first physical sales made up about 30-60% of a songs weekly points, the early 2000s when physical sales fe through. From 2001-2012, the R&B/Hip Hop chart resembled the R&B/Hip Hop Airplay charts because physical sales were so low. Sometimes acts like Janet for example would get #1's if the low physical sales was able to give them a slight edge to go to #1 (Call On Me). Otherwise, the R&B chart was a mirror of the R&B/Hip Hop chart. It does suck BL is the biggest R&B/Hip Hop hit of all time due to BB's new methodology. Literally, no urban Station was playing Blinding Lights at all Also, BB didn't necessarily track what was going on in urban/black areas, they just track what sold well in specifically R&B/Hip Hop retailers. If a store sold more R&B/Hip Hop records on average, it was deemed an R&B/Hip Hop market by BB. Same with Country and Rock etc...
