Basically, the R&B/Hip Hop Airplay chart was the R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart right before the switchover. Sales were minimal and likewise the differences between the two were also minimal. I’m curious what the list would like if you went with the Airplay chart.

Some things I can think off is Bood'up (would've hit) and Adorn would've been much higher and songs like Fancy, Diamonds, Thrift Shop, & Can't Hold Us wouldn't have been #1. It still don't understand why BB made that rule change.

Speaking of rule change, if Billboard used Soundscan for R&B/Hip Hop in 1991, Save The Best For Last would NOT have been #1, and My Lovin (You're Never Gonna Get It) would've been #1 for weeks on end. I've always found that chart run odd for a song so huge even back when it was out.
