His debut album that was released on November 20, 1990 by MCA Records. It went to number one on the Irish Albums Chart for 12 weeks, and on the US Top R&B Albums chart for two weeks and peaked into the top 20 on the US Billboard 200 chart. It has been certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Majority of the tracks were produced by Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis.
I thought it was a very good album, overall. My faves are "Sensitivity", "Stone Cold Gentleman", "Do What I Gotta Do", "She's My Love Thang" (should have been released as a single), "Girl I Can't I Control It" (should have also been released as a single!), "Love Takes Time", "Public Figure", "Last Night", and "I Love You (Just For You)". I miss the New Jack Swing era so much, as I did grew up in that era. I will forever be stuck in that 90s time period.
"Sensitivity" #4 Hot 100, #1 R&B, #19 Dance Club Play
"Stone Cold Gentleman" #34 Hot 100, #3 R&B
"Do What I Gotta Do" #54 Hot 100 Singles Sales, #26 Dance Music/Maxi Singles, #2 R&B
