In all honesty Morgan is opting for one extremely long album rather than the album broken up into two because he wants to have the same effect with the charts as Dangerous did.
Having an excessive tracklist like this, even longer than Dangerous’ almost ensures that this is going to sit at #1 on the country albums chart and be very hard to dethrone for the next year or so, because there are so many songs available to stream.

Music would be so much better off without the likes of spotify, apple music. Tiktok as well.

Nah, those apps especially Tik Tok have lead to a lot more viral stars (I don't see the difference in Tiktok now and say Vine in the mid 2010s, MySpace in the mid 2000s or Facebook in the late 2000s even) and country music embracing the last one (Tiktok) especially has lead to a surge in popularity for the genre in recent years.

For anyone who hasn't yet listened to Shania Twain's new album, Queen of Me, there's nothing remotely country about it. She's gone completely the direction of following the sound of Rhianna, or a different pop artist. Kind of sad we lost the old Shania.

Thanks for the heads up no need to waste my time with it I absolutely hated everything from it so far plus I’ve never been a big fan of hers anyway

The new Shania album is pretty damn good imo. Nothing is ever gonna touch her work at her prime for a number of reasons (the magic of Mutt producing for her, her vocal struggles, etc.), but I am still thankful she is giving us new music and delivering bops. 🤷♂️

Good for Shania Twain she is back to releasing music, and I get her voice is not the same that it was. But what her voice is now is just not one that I don't care for

36 songs…good Lord. I wouldn’t even be able to make it through a Swift album of that length. Not at all looking forward to the logjam this is gonna cause.

I do agree the actual country signifiers are less on the album I Am chuckling that you think this sounds anything like Rihanna 😝

The two bonus tracks "On Three" and "Done and Dusted" are the most country solo thing she's done in awhile.

Found the tracklist of Gravel & Gold. Features Ashley McBryde. Gone and Beers On Me are not in the album. 1. Same Ol’ Me 2. Sun Sets In Colorado 3. Heartbreak Drinking Tour 4. Something Real 5. Still 6. Beer at My Funeral 7. Cowboy Boots (featuring Ashley McBryde) 8. Gold 9. Walking Each Other Home 10. Roll On 11. All The Right Places 12. Ain’t All Bad 13. Old Pickup 14. High Note (featuring Billy Strings) www.target.com/p/dierks-bentley-gravel-38-gold-cd/-/A-88341090Dierks is one of my absolute favorites, but releasing a 14 song album in the same timeframe as Morgan Wallen releasing a 36 song album and hoping to win Album of the Year at the CMA’s or ACM’s is laughable. Also not including Gone or Beers On Me is a mistake. I think I read he scrapped and restarted this album 3 times, I think I’m this era he would’ve been better off releasing every song from this album and the scrapped ones.

I don't think it's a mistake not to include Gone and Beers on Me if they don't fit the new album. From everything we've heard so far, sonically, they don't fit and I'm happy about that.

I’m not an expert by any means, but I do agree Gone and Beers on Me haven’t sounded like what we’ve heard from the album so far. I do think the track list of the album is a little short…. But it probably opens the door for a Deluxe version later on, or a Part 2.

Also, my previous comment about 'maybe this will be his year' re: award shows was incredibly tongue in cheek. I can't imagine he'd win anything at this stage in his career but stranger things have happened. I gave up hope on that front many years ago.

Just because Morgan Wallen is releasing a 36-song album, doesn't mean everyone else HAS to do the same. It's not like that's something that's required to win awards, either.

While I don't want every artist to go 36 song album like Morgan Wallen has, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world for artists to start having bigger albums as that is more music for the fans to consume.

I like the idea of artists having bigger albums for fans as long as the quality of their music is still on par with their usual output.
