Debut album released on November 16, 1996 by Def Jam Recordings. It was mostly produced by Trackmasters. In the United States, Ill Na Na debuted at number seven on the Billboard 200 and at #2 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, chart, selling 128,000 copies in its first week, and was certified Platinum within three months of release. According to Nielsen Soundscan, the album has sold over 1,450,834 copies in the United States. It was reissued on September 29, 1997 in the U.K. with an addition of the song "Big Bad Mamma". The album pushed and broke boundaries for female rap. It became the first female rap album to debut in the top 10 of Billboard 200, first female rap album to have certified plaques outside of the United States, and highest selling and fastest female rap album of 1996 to go Platinum within 2.7 months. Hard to believe she was only 17 back then. Always thought she was way older when she started out, like in her late 20s! Love all the tracks. My top five include the singles plus "If I", "No One's", and "Ill Na Na". Pretty solid debut so far. 😎🙌 I wish she gets far more recognition for her contributions to the hip hop community. "'Get Me Home" #10 R&B/Hip Hop Airplay, #42 Radio Songs, #11 Rhythmic "I'll Be" #7 Hot 100, #4 Dance Singles Sales, R&B/Hip Hop Songs, #2 Rap, #22 Rhythmic "Big Bad Mamma" #53 Hot 100, #3 Dance Singles Sales, #10 R&B/Hip Hop, #9 Rap, #20 Rhythmic
