Time for some more stats:
- The top 2 still haven't been disturbed, with a massive gap of 316 points now separating them from #3.
- All of the top 10 have now cleared 5,000 points. No songs have moved in or out since the last update, and #11 is now 56 points behind #10.
- There's been some movement in the upper reaches of the bottom 10, but #91 is trailing behind #90 by more than 100 points.
- No new songs have gotten #1s, and two songs have gotten two more each. Meanwhile, two more songs have gotten their first #100 (both in the bottom half).
- The highest SDs belong to #69, #56, #67, #89, and #72. Meanwhile the lowest SDs belong to #2, #94, #6, #3, and #100.
- We have a tie between #61 and #62, as well as a three-way tie between #56, #57 and #58.

Looks like the highest SD is on pace to be at 68 again, the lucky number. Makes sense if it’s something like Unholy.

Betty (Get Money) is probably the best of the sample hits so far if you exclude Creepin.
A Thousand Miles is ok. Atleast it’s not a Vanessa Carlton cover because The Kid Laroi would butcher that.
I still stand what I said weeks ago when I say Charlie Puth deserved something on the 2022 Year-End, especially if both of his hits had made it.
Tbh I have a soft-spot for country-rock and Heart On Fire is no exception.
Son of a Sinner is a pretty good country song that’s probably gonna get caught between years.

We have officially hit 70 lists, I'm hopeful that we get at least 80 though! There still are quite a few people that have let us know that they plan to submit, but if you haven't said anything to us recently, then please let us know that you are planning to send!

Time for some more stats:
- The gap between the top 2 and #3 has increased above 340 points. There are 2 other decent sized gaps in the top 10, which are between #5 and #6, and #7 and #8.
- All of the top 14 now have cleared 5,000 points. Since the last update, a song that was outside of the top 10 has now taken the #10 spot.
- While most of the bottom 10 has seen little movement, the #96 and #97 have switched back again.
- Only one new #1 rank has come in, you'll have to find out whose list it was for 
- The highest SDs now belong to #54, #70, #64, #78, and #89. Meanwhile the lowest SDs belong to #6, #2, #94, #3, and #100.
- We only have one tie currently, between #48 and #49.

Anyway I sent. This list was by far my least favourite year end since at least 2009 to be honest, I only care about maybe my top 30? My list shouldn't be too controversial at least, aside from my #4 which is going out bottom 10.

Going through the preference revealer now; ranking the 2021 repeats is no fun lol. Like, I'm not looking to arbitrarily tank anything because it's from last year but at the same time stop getting in the way of THIS year's batch! Jeez. No idea what my top half's gonna look like but I feel like a bunch of stuff (particularly country songs) are gonna get stuck in the mid-range when they probably should be higher 'cause I'm trying to be fair to the 2021 carryovers that I like.

Az Paynter is right that there is a way to work around the pm issue. I'll quote what I said previously for anyone planning to send still! If this doesn't work/gives you too many issues then feel free to send separately. Right now it appears that there's an issue where it looks like you can only send to one person. To work around this, please go ahead and send your list to 1 host. Once done, click "reply", then "change participants" and type in the username of the 2nd host (either wripwrap or samosaurus1). It'll say "no results found", but hit "save" anyways - you'll see the 2nd host added! If that doesn't work then it is fine to send 2 separate PMs, though we would prefer to both be in the same PM if you can. Not sure how long this bug will last, but wanted you all to be aware! Again, please make sure to send to both samo🦕 and I! |
