^This song is the best song he released since he moved onto the current era, granted the bar is literally the floor. I wish he let this stupid beer song go and release this new tune as a single.

Both these songs feel really awkward and clunky, specially in the vocal arrangement. Just don’t really feel any passion anymore. Not expecting much from this album right now unfortunately.

Might need another listen to this cause I hated it on my first listen of it I’ll play it again soon and we’ll see all of his music these days sound exactly the same maybe I’m wrong here who knows

Haven't even listened to "Southern & Slow" yet but with that title... the jokes write themselves. That's basically the unofficial slogan of Oklahoma, thru the lens of a Kansan.

This fell on Billboard Country Airplay. Peaked at #13.
Is this one of Luke's first singles to miss the Top 10 on Billboard?

The fact that this second sungle has been delayed for so long only for it to flop...
Also I know the wikipedia pages of most country songs are maintained by someone, but this song doesn't even have a wikipedia page. What a non-event.

Is this actually done? It might not go #1, but I have a hard time believing it's finished, given how new it is.
I've never liked this song nonetheless, it just feels incredibly clunky and mailed in. You would think that with the name power he has he would be picking better written songs among the community of great songwriters in Nashville. This and "Country On" just felt really meh to me.

I don't think it is done yet. This is it's first week on Billboard without a bullet, and it is the youngest song in the top 15. I might be wrong, but i expect it to go at least top 10. But then again, it has a -50 bullet on today's Mediabase daily update. So who knows.

I hate this song and would love for it to flop, but it's definitely not done. There's really no indication it is. These kind of tumultuous ups/downs are pretty standard for the country charts so I'm surprised anyone would think this is just randomly done without any kind of warning.

Also "We Rode In Trucks" peaked at 33 in 2008, along with "Up" Those are the only 2 that missed the top 10 so far. I think Luke will get to the top 10 with this one soon. The logjam in the top 10 is starting to break. Jordan Davis will drop this week and Justin Moore is free falling and Tyler Hubbard should be gone in a couple weeks. The competition around Luke now is pretty stiff which is why I think he slipped a bit this week, in the long run it'll be another top 5 hit.

Makes the Top 10 on Billboard after 26 weeks on the chart. With this making the Top 10 now on both charts I have to think that UMG will let go of promo for this song within the next month as Top 5 on either chart just feels almost impossible.

Set to Co Host CCUSA the weekend of December 2nd. Looks like they're going to try to get this to #1. Just ready for it to be off the chart honestly. It's nothing short of bad.

I am also ready for this song to go off the chart, not because I find it bad (I have found it more catchy lately the more I hear it on the radio) but it is so frustrating to see this song charting when it's clear country radio has been done with this for a while now and the label should move on since I don't think it'll take long for Luke Bryan be right back in the Top 10 with the right song.

It’s time for Luke to evolve. I’m not saying you can’t ever make fun uptempos again, but at this point in his career he could be giving us much mature songs. Why is he not releasing songs like “Man Made A Bar” or Cody Johnson’s “Dirt Cheap” or Jelly Roll’s “Save Me”. There’s an appetite for songs of substance out there, and he could easily be delivering more interesting tunes than this one. It really just feels like the former frat guy who still hangs out at college bars when he deep into his 30’s. His fan base has grown up, time to grow with them. Also, I say this as someone who thoroughly enjoyed the peak years of Luke’s career, but these past couple years have been just sad honestly.

I don't think Man Made A Bar or Save Me are particularly mature songs though

If Luke is able to get the MB #1, he will have a similar drop like Tim McGraw just got.

Hope Save Me blocks it. This is terrible, and he really needs to come off of autopilot with his singles.

Sorry for the double post, but happy this dumpster fire of a song was blocked on both charts. He really needs to go back to the drawing board, cause he has a lot of potential with his platform, that he’s wasting on these throw away songs like this and Country On.

I do think Luke Bryan really needs to get it right next year with whatever is the followup is to this as it is clear with how this and "Country On" performed he is losing a fair amount of momentum. He obviously still has some hits left in him, but if the material isn't great or not going to connect at all, I do think Luke Bryan's radio career will go on a downward spiral sooner than later.

I don’t think it matters about material with an artist like Luke Bryan. He’s 17 years into his career and it’s winding down regardless of what he releases. This song wasn’t awful in fact 10 years ago it would have been a huge hit for him. If Luke Combs had released this song instead of Luke Bryan it would have spent multiple weeks at #1. Blake, Tim, Kenny, Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood are all at the end of the line. “Standing Room Only” was a freaking masterpiece and sure it got to # 1 but then it free fell and will go down as just another forgettable single. Had Morgan Wallen or Jelly Roll released it ….It would have won every award at the CMA sand ACM’s.

I mean this made it to the Top 10 and pushed for a Top 5 peak despite connecting abysmally at best (it has a peak of #92 on the Hot 100) so I do think with the right song that actually pushes the needle consumer wise could easily be a big hit. Also while Luke Bryan is a 2000s artist, I always associate him more with the 2010s as it wasn't until his second album he really broke through on a larger level.

Yeah he was huge 2011-2017. 92 on the hot 100 and 4 on airplay is not good

I always felt like the Spring Break EPs were so random and now I think he is the guy in his 40s who still parties and never left Spring Break behind.
