60.
Kill the Noise - Papa Roach"Kill The Noise" ain't that the truth.
59.
Set You Free - CrobotAnother band that gets the short end of the stick on Active chart. This one has a powerful chorus. Good rockin' jam.
58.
Dead Inside - Nita Strauss & David DraimanWho would ever have thought that the lady behind this fierce guitar is now playing in
Demi Lovato's band? Not complaining tho, cuz this is great sounding hard rock.
David Draiman's vocals are the icing on the cake.
57.
Crimson Skies - Black Veil Brides Look at that. I'm causing more High Deviations. I definitely prefer thier older look and music style, but I have always concidered these guys more Heavy Metal than most modern bands. Nice to hear they haven't lost thier tuoch. Still fierce. Still melodic.
56.
Faded Out - Asking Alexandria f/ Within TemptationNot too terrible, but I didn't care for
Within Temptation's cameo.
55.
Lifeline - Bad Wolves This felt more like Tommy's Wolf Pack. The style and song were much better, but still needed Tommy's VOcals for me to get fully on board. Damn good chorus tho right? "carry this on my own" could he be also referring to carrying the load of lead vocalist? We'll have to see?
54.
No Apologies - Papa RoachThis is the only song I dug this year from them, cuz it sounded like old Papa Roach. That being said it rose and fell off my charts pretty quick too.
53.
People Are Strange - The ViolentI actually only cared for this because I'm a huge
Doors fan. So it can work both ways.
52.
More Than Machines - BushMost of the reason I give
Bush higher slots is manily riding on Gavin's vocals, but this time the song felt a little to forced. They can do better.
51.
Strangers - Bring Me the HorizonOne of thier more melodic jams in recent years. Glad they stayed away from all that Elektronik B.S.
50.
Above It All - Saint Asonia Kinda over Adam's vocals, so the song doesn't sound like nothing special at all.
49.
Worst is on Its Way - KornCan't think of one Korn song I ever liked. Like ever.
48.
Tippa My Tongue - Red Hot Chili PeppersI still think this is Funk Fire, damn, not even on list of generic metal can these Alt Rock kings score a top 40 with this jam. You all too cruel.
47.
When We Were Young - ArchitectsI don't like this band's musical style one bit.
46.
Another Last Time - Dirty Honey I usually rank this band in my top 10. This song is ok. More
Black Crows sounding and nothing I can air guitar too, but it's still more traditional sounding guitar rock and that always sounds good to me. I'll just patiently wait for them to roll another 7. ;)
45.
Voices - Shaman's HarvestThese guys will always rank mid tier on my lists. I think I charted
"the Come Up" for cowbell alone. They have a cool Southern Rock vibe, but they more hit and miss to me.
44.
These Are the Ways - Red Hot Chili PeppersOne unmemorable RHCPs song is a lot better than a boatload of unmemorable songs on this list.
43.
Wild Child - The Black KeysLiterally the best Alt Rock guitar hook of the year.
42.
Circle the Drain - Wage Waryou splice togther 5 of the songs from this list and you get this song here.
41.
Start the Healing - KornI literally can't tell Korn's songs apart from another. There must have been a reason why I ranked one of them at
#82 and this one
#80, but I can't recall why?
EXTRAS:No More Tears to Cry - Bullet for My ValentineWay better than the one we ranked. Easy top 50 for me.
100 Little Deaths - Lilith CzarGuys I would have had more female rock jams in my top 20 than all of you put together. Rockin' Feamle vocals, cranking hooks. What's there not to like?
Dad Vibes - Limp Bizkit Supermodel - MåneskinThe closest I've come to liking a song from this band, and can you belive it's because of that "smells Like
Nirvana Party Rock" hook.
Hope in This World - MesserNot too terrible. It's
WWE rock vibes form start to finish, and then it ends and I forget how it goes,
Kick - Def Leppard Can you imagine how pissed I was when 9 slots kept me from ranking this jam on this RD. I could and would have had a different
#1 song. This band is my all time favorite British Metal band. The equivalent to the American
Kiss. Just an amazing song from start to finish. Pure Glam Rock adrenaline. Of course my
#1 song of the year was
"Take What You Want", but this was a rockin' hell of a bangin' rollercoaster ride.
Classless Act - Classless Act f/ Vince NeilThe song itself didn't do much for me. The music is great, but the lead singler strikes me as an idiot. I posted the thread and all, but I was most excited to hear that
Vince Neil sounding so frickin' great agin. I keep hoping he releases a cover of this song.
I still have one tanker left and it's an unmelodic wreck from band I have ranked higher than most of you in past RDS.
