I don't know if Kate Bush is going to be ranked in a rock year-end rankdown in the future but her rankdown history starting with: #1 Alt 1985 (Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God))|#1 AAA 2022 (Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)) is funny. I lost my right to complain about obvious old songs winning when I put Master of Puppets at #1 in the mainstream rock rankdown this year. RUTH is still a great classic song though, I definitely don't mind it being the winner! Also happy to see so much Sam Fender appreciation going on here. Thanks a lot to the triple hosts for putting on the best rock airplay rankdown of the year!

Probably the most obvious winner here, but can't complain as I would've had this top 5. I can at least say I predicted two of this years rock chart winners in Tek It and RUTH with Mastodon's 'Teardrinker' upset being the pleasantly surprising outlier.

RUTH is definitely the best song on the list, but i ranked it at #11 as (to me) it's not a 2022 song, so i figured i should give at least 10 other songs a chance at my Top 10 - but i won't complain about it winning
with all of the covers being mentioned, i thought i'd make sure everyone was aware of the VERY BEST cover of this song...i might even like is slightly better than the original:
