So Hot You're Hurting My Feelings is overranked and a bit too old to rank in 2023 (was released in 2019) but it would still be my #1 contender here.

Some great extras. I would have given solid ranks to stablise, last man on earth and happier than ever.

Just submitted. Definitely a good list; it was very fun to just listen to my top ranks over again.

just sent to all three of you. Songs were more melodic than other years. Even more than the Alt chart and defintitely more than Active. No real travesties except what I stuck in my tank.
You'll see a couple acts that I usally tank close to my top half. Maybe it was the day I was also viewing 80's Hair Metal in between sets? Songs always sound better when sandwiched inbetween Hair Metal. let the slaying of my Top 10 songs commence.

I won't have time to send this time around unfortunately, but I do hope "Bad Dream" can improve even further on its placement in the 2021 Alt RD

We're almost closed but in the meantime let's check out the Mediabase extras! MEDIABASE EXTRAS
This has burned on me a bit but it was still a welcome return and I wouldn't have minded seeing another FJM song on the list
Funny Girl Father John Misty
Minimum Total Spins: 716 Peak: #49 Weeks: 1
Really enjoy the tempo of this and how it sort of invokes a sense of urgency in me
Bethel Woods Midlake
Minimum Total Spins: 907 Peak: #50 Weeks: 1
This would have been a top 10 contender for me. I also love how they snuck a Caretaker reference in the first verse lol
Baby Don't Cry Sunflower Bean
Minimum Total Spins: 918 Peak: #48 Weeks: 1
Feel free to share your thoughts on these songs below!

I’ll have to wait until after work to send but my list is coming!! Finally submitted at the eleventh hour, and I’m glad I did, because the song I put at #1 was something that moved me so incredibly. So glad I made that discovery!!! Hope to see it go far. Excited for results! This turned out to be such a hard list to rank, as I only really actively dislike the songs from about my bottom 15 or so on down.

SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW CLOSEDHere is a questionnaire you can fill out before reveals begin!
1. There are a lot of songs here that have been deemed as possible winners of the rankdown; which song do you think will take the #1 spot? Which other songs will make up the top 10?
2. We have seen multiple songs fall into the #100 spot during the rankdown, which song ended up there in the end? Which other songs fell into the bottom 10?
3. Which song was the least agreed upon here (aka highest SD)? Which song was most agreed upon (lowest SD)?
4. Once again, here are the songs that made the year end top 10. Which song will be highest, and which will be lowest? - Wild Child, My Love, Wild, Virginia (Wind In The Night), One Step Ahead, Love Brand New, Here To Forever, Believe, Unconditional I (Lookout Kid), U&ME
5. Predict the order of the multiple song artists: Adele: Easy On Me/Oh My God Band of Horses: Crutch/Warning Signs Brandi Carlile: Broken Horses/You and Me on the Rock Caamp: Believe/The Otter Dermot Kennedy: Better Days/Something to Someone Eddie Vedder: Brother the Cloud/Long Way Florence + the Machine: Free/My Love Jack White: Love Is Selfish/Taking Me Back Leon Bridges: B-Side/Steam Lucius: I Don't Live Here Anymore/Next to Normal/You and Me on the Rock Maggie Rogers: That's Where I Am/Want Want Mitski: Love Me More/The Only Heartbreaker Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats: Face Down in the Moment/I'm on Your Side Phoebe Bridgers: Sidelines/Silk Chiffon Spoon: My Babe/The Hardest Cut/Wild The Black Keys: It Ain't Over/Wild Child The Lumineers: A.M. RADIO/BRIGHTSIDE/WHERE WE ARE
6. Any other predictions?

1. There are a lot of songs here that have been deemed as possible winners of the rankdown; which song do you think will take the #1 spot? Which other songs will make up the top 10? i'm thinking maybe a tek it or ruth win? that's where i am and seventeen going under probably top 10 but i have genuinely no clue what else to guess for top 10 outside of possibly silk chiffon and maybe until i found you tbh lol
2. We have seen multiple songs fall into the #100 spot during the rankdown, which song ended up there in the end? Which other songs fell into the bottom 10? idk about #100 but for bottom 10, i see both dermot kennedy songs, record player, idk what else
3. Which song was the least agreed upon here (aka highest SD)? Which song was most agreed upon (lowest SD)? lowest: whatever wins or loses idk highest: beggin
4. Once again, here are the songs that made the year end top 10. Which song will be highest, and which will be lowest? - Wild Child, My Love (highest), Wild, Virginia (Wind In The Night) (lowest maybe?), One Step Ahead, Love Brand New, Here To Forever, Believe, Unconditional I (Lookout Kid), U&ME
RADIO/BRIGHTSIDE/WHERE WE ARE
6. Any other predictions? i'm probably way off here lol pretty much all of these were guessing

1. There are a lot of songs here that have been deemed as possible winners of the rankdown; which song do you think will take the #1 spot? Which other songs will make up the top 10?
RUTH wins comfortably imo, with Tek It a very solid second. Seventeen Going Under and TWOD probably repeat here as well tbh. Otherwise I can see some pulse favourites like Mitski, Sharon van Etten, Beach House and Florence all possibly sneaking in too
2. We have seen multiple songs fall into the #100 spot during the rankdown, which song ended up there in the end? Which other songs fell into the bottom 10?
Michael Franti and Daisy the Great have the bottom 2 on lock tbh, Dermot never does very well here either so I assume he'll be pretty low as well. Some of the lamer stuff from alt will also probably slip, I could see WHERE WE ARE, Grace and Synchronise all ending up here due to the better competition around them. Matt Maeson is another dude who is probably guaranteed to be around here lol
3. Which song was the least agreed upon here (aka highest SD)? Which song was most agreed upon (lowest SD)?
I could see "Oh My God", "Beggin'" or "As It Was" having really high standard deviations tbh. It wouldn't shock me if both "Black Summer" and "Cracker Island" ended up more divisive here than in alt as well. RUTH and the bottom 2 contenders probably have super low SDs, but for a more left field pick I can't see Mt. Joy or Caamp having super high SDs either.
4. Once again, here are the songs that made the year end top 10. Which song will be highest, and which will be lowest? - Wild Child, My Love, Wild, Virginia (Wind In The Night), One Step Ahead, Love Brand New, Here To Forever, Believe, Unconditional I (Lookout Kid), U&ME
The highest of these should be My Love, and I think One Step Ahead is probably the lowest but I'm less confident about that
5. Predict the order of the multiple song artists: Adele: Easy On Me/Oh My God (lol) Band of Horses: Crutch/Warning Signs Brandi Carlile: Broken Horses/You and Me on the Rock Caamp: Believe/The Otter (this could go either way) Dermot Kennedy: Better Days/Something to Someone Eddie Vedder: Brother the Cloud/Long Way Florence + the Machine: Free/My Love Jack White: Love Is Selfish/Taking Me Back Leon Bridges: B-Side/Steam Lucius: I Don't Live Here Anymore/Next to Normal/You and Me on the Rock (Next To Normal is probably the lowest as well) Maggie Rogers: That's Where I Am/Want Want Mitski: Love Me More/The Only Heartbreaker Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats: Face Down in the Moment/I'm on Your Side (this also feels 50/50 to me) Phoebe Bridgers: Sidelines/Silk Chiffon Spoon: My Babe/The Hardest Cut/Wild (My Babe is probably lowest) The Black Keys: It Ain't Over/Wild Child The Lumineers: A.M. RADIO/BRIGHTSIDE/WHERE WE ARE (WWA should be the lowest)
6. Any other predictions?
Of my bottom 10s, I think my 96 probably lasts the longest. Out of my top 10s, I think I'll lose my 9 first tbh

Will we have at least 5 female acts in the top ten? Kate Bush, Cafune and Florence seem locked, but maybe a few from also Cannons, Phoebe Bridges, Big Thief, Metric, Japanese Breakfast, Mitski, Brandi Carlisle, or Adele?
