It's a more aggressive sound than I'm used to from DMB. Reminds me in style of "Don't Drink the Water." Not sure if I actually like it or not, yet.

They're too soft for Active and are too irrelevant for Hot AC and Alt. I wouldn't say they're done on AAA per se, in that they could still score top 10s here and there, but I don't think they'll reach the top, or if they do, it'll be in a weak week (e.g. the time Missing Piece topped the chart), in a similar case as for example, The Wallflowers and Robert Plant solo. The next one to keep an eye on will be when U2 returns. At the very least, this did slightly better than their last lead in 2018, so AAA was already starting to like them less even before the indie movement became full-blown. |
