Another missed single opportunity from the deluxe version of Glory. This would've fit right in with the tropical pop trend of 2016.

I appreciate the album Glory, and everything that Britney was trying to do with it. The material was improved from Britney Jean - but it always struck me as a transition record, similar to Britney, where her A&R team were trying to transition her away from Top 40 Pop to Adult Contemporary audiences.
I don't feel that any song from Glory really fit with what the general audience wanted from her, and I would say most of the material offered in this album was out of scope with what I think radio was looking for her at the time. I think Top 40 audiences wanted an undeniable monster up-tempo with a hook, and nothing from Glory really fits that. I think the closest Glory gets to that is with some of the bonus tracks -- "If I'm Dancing", "Do You Want to Come Over?" and "Change Your Mind". At the end of this Britney was trying to make a moody mid-tempo album which is what we got from the singles, but mid-tempos have never been her strong point.
All this to say I don't think Better would have been more successful than Make Me... was, maybe touching top 15 like Work Bitch, but not much else. The only track that I think could have been a good follow-up from Make Me... is Love Me Down, and I think even that would have lost traction.
