{OKAY, NOW I NEED A WORD WALL}#80: I'd rather you not, Jack...but I know you're going to, anyway. #79: For a prototypical DMB song, this genuinely isn't all that bad. Their other song here is still better, though. #78: A song that I probably would have ranked at least 10 spots higher if not for the fact that I can't listen to this song without thinking about work and how it would play this song every day for about three months in a row. #77: Look at Leaf ranking himself outside of the top 40 #76: Sorry, James. #75: I don't even really care for this, but still...lower than the other one, eh? #74: This was definitely a Sheryl Crow song. #73: Something about this rubbed me the wrong way. I almost feel like someone as talented as Tracy Chapman doesn't need to resort to "do do do" lyrics. #72: Nah, the right one's out first. This was a bit of a bore. #71: Considering how poor "Everybody" was, mediocrity is definitely an improvement here. #70: I'm assuming history will repeat itself and "Magnificent" will vastly outperform their other songs here. As it should. #69: Just another Elvis Costello song, really. #68: ...just another Rob Thomas song, really. #67: I get the visceral hatred Colbie generally gets, and it can be deserved, but this was...fine? Certainly one of her better songs. #66: "CCM comp" Ah, now this song's mediocrity makes sense. #65: This song has aged like fucking milk. "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" has aged a bit, too, but not to this extent. #64: This was fine, but I imagine we'll get better stuff from them as we go along. #63: Never been my favorite Springsteen project, really, and this song, in particular, just isn't all that interesting. It's decent, it's just not anywhere close to the best of the Boss. #62: I sleep #61: "Ranking Ryan Adams songs isn’t fun :\" At least with Ryan Adams, I was never hugely into his music beforehand. Arcade Fire, on the other hand...wait, "Magick" is higher than this? Really?

If 21 Guns can make it this far than I dread to see how far boring ass Boulevard Of Broken Dreams goes.

If 21 Guns can make it this far than I dread to see how far boring ass Boulevard Of Broken Dreams goes. TBF the song did drop nearly 40 spots from where it finished in Alternative back in the day. While this Triple A list is definitely better than that Alternative list, it isn't so much better as to entirely explain that drop--people's opinions of the song must have diminished significantly as well. BOBD probably won't drop as much, but this definitely makes me feel it's not a lock for top 10 like it was in Alternative.

Has 21st Century Breakdown always been this contentious or was it just the active Green Day album when I got old enough to become aware of pop music and therefore people aged 22 like it?
Or does Pulse just not like Green Day
Anyway because of the aforementioned 22 thing I'm pretty sure it would be at least one or two or three spots lower in my ranking if not for this video making me smile every time I think of it.

Let's see how much PULSE hates my favorite songs from this year. 100. One Day - MatisyahuNice way to sart. Not much to say about this one except it is that bad. 99. Washed by the Water - NEEDTOBREATHEOne of the most boring songs I've heard from this band, and I kinda liked them back then. 98. Make You Crazy - Brett Dennen f/ Femi KutiNever heard this. probably the reason I never tanked this guy until now, but if this was your first impression of old Brett here I can see why he was tainted from this song on. 97. Your Heart - Donavon FrankenreiterCouldn't find the "heart" to tank this one. I gotta admit I kinda dug the Mariachi vibes here. 96. Lucky - Jason Mraz & Colbie CaillatI enjoyed Colbie Caillat vocals, but the song was just too too sappy. I know there is a reason you guys hate this that goes beyond the song. Maybe something to do with Jason, cuz it couldn't be Colbie. She is such a sweetheart. 95. Something Beautiful - NEEDTOBREATHEI knew this one from back then so it makes my top 50, but it really hasn't aged all that well. 94. Get on Your Boots - U2I still remeber the hate you all gave this one when I participated on one of the first PULSE rds. There were some unkind words thrown around about this song. I forget if it was about the political content or music itself, but I dug it then I dig it now. Knew I would lose it first night of reveals too, so this is me taking a bullet for a song I like. 93. All We Are - Matt NathansonWhat a letdown. I usally enjoy this guy's vibe. I'd rather he just go back to listening to George Michael classics for inspiration. 92. Promised Land - John MellencampIt's no "Hurts So Good", but John always sounds good. I'm guessing Bruce isn't far away? 91. Precious Love - James MorrisonNever heard this one, but I really enjoyed the vibe and his vocals sounded really good for this vibe. 90. When I Dream of Michelangelo - Counting CrowsAnother one I knew from back than and kinda enjoyed hearing again after all these years. Adam's vocal style hit the harmony on this one. Banjo didn't sound all that bad. 89. Can’t Stop the World - Gavin Rossdaleand yet another one I kinda remeber hearing back than. Funny how I don't recall the titles until I listen to the song again. This one was good. 88. OK, It’s Alright with Me - Eric HutchinsonThis remnded me of another jazzy jive song from Jameriquai "Virtual Insanity". Cared for that one as much as I cared for this one. 87. Rock & Roll - Eric Hutchinson I remeber thsi one well. I can still give it semi thumbs up, but man it hasn't aged well with me either. I probably won't need to click on it for another 10 years. 86. More - Tyrone Wells I used to love songs with this vibe. The biggest compliemnt I could give this song is that is kinda sounds like acustic Creed. 85. Don’t Wanna Cry - Pete YornAside from "Strange Condition" I don't think I cared for anything from this guy. Including this borefest. 84. Chances - Five for FightingNever cared for this band. fall were he should. 83. Staring Down - Collective SoulYou know I knew this one back then. It ain't no " Hollywood" , but I dug it. 82. Be There - Howie DayI used to like this one a whole lot more back then. There is a poprock song somwhere in there. The chorus is still cathcy enuff to sing along to.. 81. Let It Be Me - Ray LaMontagneWith wonderjams like this, this guy is fast becoming a VIP bottom tanker resident for my AAA rds. * Stas are hilarious here. I'm pretty sure I was bossting those POp cruisovers or at least the songs that charted on Hot AC. EXTRAS:just a couple that caught my interest. The Show - LenkaThis must have cruised over to some POp chart cuz I really enjoyed it. Gotta Be Somebody - NickelbackAs much As I loved Nickelback back then, this one surprisingly struggled to hold a slot in my top 10. Finally peaked at #9. The whole album was Ballad themed, but thank goodness "Animals" was the saving jam for me.

Trying to cathc up with reveals here.
80. Go On - Jack Johnson Nice head swaying melody is the compliment I can give here.
79. Why I Am - Dave Matthews Band This was fun. I'm glad the other one outlived this one. This is a real Dave Mathews Jam type of song. Love the brass.
78. This Town - O.A.R. Love this song here. Real music, real musicians putting out catchy sing alongs like this. Really dug the intro hook sounding a ittle Scottish in vibe.
77. Miss Hollywood - Carbon Leaf A lot of songs souded like this back then. I would have ranked it higher had I been more familiar with it, but it falls where I knew it would.
76. Closer to Love - Mat Kearney Pretty much nailed anotherone here. Bordrline broing with semi upbeat chorus. Can't say I'll come back to it anytime soon.
75. Know Your Enemy - Green Day It rocks. It's Greenday. LOved it back then. This is me putting a Green Day song as high as I can when I don't think it fits the format, but yet fits my sing along Green Day playlist.
74. Detours - Sheryl Crow Sorry no boost from me. Love Shery's vocals, but I didn't know this thing exisited back then, so it carries no nostalgia value for me.
73. Sing for You - Tracy Chapman Somehow managed to put out something as bad as "Fast Car". This was a hard bore to sit through.
72. Fly One Time - Ben Harper & Relentless7 Found this one to be pretty lifeles. Glad he got rid of that Relentless 7.
71. Maybe - Ingrid Michaelson Nice little pleasant song to anchore my top 50. has some country pop vibes.
70. I’ll Go Crazy If I Don’t Go Crazy Tonight - U2 I get that it's not thier best, but deserves Top 40 on a list like this. I swear if you guys screw with "Magnificent" I'm gonna loose my cool.
69. Complicated Shadows (2009) - Elvis Costelllo Falls were it should. 'nuff said.
68. Her Diamonds - Rob Thomas Didn't know this was a hit on AAA. One of my favs from that album. "Give Me The Meltdown and "Mockigbird" where the jams.
67. Fallin’ for You - Colbie Caillat Tanking melodic pleasant wonders from Colbie Caillat doesn't sit well with me.
66. Come On - Green River Ordinance Here is one I charted. Didn't know it charted elsewhere. Has that vibe I dug in poprock back then.
65. 21 Guns - Green Day What the actual F U C K? WE tanking radio classix for fun now? If there ever was a song from them that fits AAA this one is it.
64. What Are You Like? - Indigo Girls Vocals weren't bad, but I just straight out didn't care for this song.
63. Working on a Dream - Bruce Springsteen Glad the other one is higher. 'nuff said.
62. All for Love - Serena Ryder This was alright. Had a nice Poprock feel to it. The otherone rocks tho.
61. Fix It - Ryan Adams & the Cardinals Glad it wasn't the other one. This is Passable, but forgettable.
Still shocked about Green Day early appearance, but I've never been AAA savy anyway. .. and why the hard-on for Adel. I mean even the song I thought was borderline decent should have exited on this set of reveals.

Boom - Anjulie Peak: #38 Weeks on Chart: 4
This Canadian pop act is probably best known for her hit Brand New Bitch. Kinda interesting to see her on AAA.
Johnny Magic - Neil Young Peak: #37 Weeks on Chart: 2
So Neil Young had a Lincoln Continental he retooled to run completely on electricity. He wrote an entire album about it. Unfortunately, the car barely survived for more than a year after the album's release, catching on fire and causing millions in damage in 2010.
Blow Away - A Fine Frenzy Peak: #37 Weeks on Chart: 3
Decent indie pop song.
Tear Down the Walls - Davy Knowles & Back Door Slam Peak: #36 Weeks on Chart: 4
Pretty decent blues rock song.
Stand Up Comedy - U2 Peak: #33 Weeks on Chart: 1
No, unfortunately AAA's hard on for U2 isn't so big that Bono's stand up routine charted, this is an actual song.

The Show - LenkaThis must have cruised over to some POp chart cuz I really enjoyed it. Lenka never got a breakthrough in US, but The Show and Trouble Is A Friend are everywhere here in Hong Kong, especially as ringtone from older people. I don't think Pulse likes this song (maybe due to child-like vocals) but I would rank this high if it was in this rankdown.

DMB is out. I used to like this song more than I do now, I’ve just heard it way too many times at this point.

First Erin McCarley song out. I don’t know why, but I did but I did listen to this full Erin McCarley album a month or so ago (I like the album art and the singles here are ok?) It’s a pretty nice listen, nothing special, but good for what it is.

There’s a little lending library box in downtown Okotoks that’s had like 3 Augustana CDs in it for months. I’ve kinda wanted to pick them up, but don’t have any way to play CDs, naturally.
