501,000 SPS. Obviously, #1 country and #1 top 200 album. Congratulations, Morgan Wallen. Did Garth Brooks do better than this by the past? and who was the last act to do such sales record like this one? Garth Brooks sold over a million in his first week with Double Live in 1998. That was way before streaming. |

That was way before streaming. Yes that's what I tought. It was the same week with Metallica Garage Inc. album that has sold 500.000 units in its first week.

Ugh why Thikin' Bout Me has to be the most successful new track among all the great songs... It is a song that I would be placing in the bottom 5 if we do "OTAT RD." I suppose its poppy production invited more audience from different genre listeners...? Hope it will just become a pop hit.

They probably always intended for it to be single at some point. |

Poised to pull in another 208k units this week. Anyone think it’s likely he blocks Luke from #1 since this is having such a slow decline? Considering Growing Up opened with 74,000, I think Morgan is going to keep #1. Luke's new album has a bit more hype than Growing Up did, so I expect it to do way better than his last release and be in the low six figures (100,000-120,000). But no way it almost triples the 74,000 from his last album and beats Morgan. |

#1 album in Australia. Is it Big Loud's intention to make Morgan Wallen an international star this album cycle? He's honestly the one country star right now that can make that happen. Although, Country is known to be a bit popular in Australia and the UK, so it doing well there isn't *too* surprising. What I have been surprised is the album's reception in countries like Guatemala, Bahrain, Mexico, Ireland. Sure, it wasn't a Top 10 or Top 40 album, but the fact that it was showing up on streaming when it's almost an impossible feat for a Country artist, tells me he can be a minor Global artist. |

I finally gave this a listen, and I really, really like it. The singles have all been great, and there are so many potential options for follow ups. “98 Braves” should absolutely be the next single though. After that, there are so many great choices, but I hope they consider “Born With A Beer In My Hand” and “F150-50”.
