#30: I was not expecting my 24 to show up this quickly. This rankdown was so nuts that I couldn't rank Sophie top half.
#29: Huh...okay, I guess this has a high SD. This basically hits a bunch of nostalgic checkmarks for me.
#28: Pleasantly surprised this wasn't bottom ten. When I included this in Crazy 1, I was mainly just looking for a song that was a) a pop song; and b) a pop song with production that belies its status. At the time, this wasn't a personal favorite choice for that RD, but it definitely has become more of a favorite in recent years as my taste in music continued to evolve.
#27: Okay, time for this rankdown's best example of its brutality: How am I not even in the top six rankings for a main Journey song? What?
#26: If "Never" hit a bunch of my nostalgic checkmarks, this is the type of song that hits all of them.
#25: God, I love the production on this. Why did I rank this so low?
#24: Totally get why this was the choice and not something like "Galang", but man, "Galang" would have been an easy top ten for me here compared to this, and, as evidenced by "Stronger" missing it, this was not an easy top ten to crack.
#23: Yeah, I kind of figured that this had a high SD when it moved past the bottom fifteen, because I knew there was going to be a bit of a tank for this. For what it's worth, I thought this was solid.
#22: The way that this quite nice J-Pop song is my last bottom ten, I have let Japan down.
#21: How is this not in my top half, this rules. Also, I am positive that this is a nostalgic memory for me, but I cannot, for the life of me, remember why it is. |

"Feather" is technically my lowest remaining, but I will say that it does some really interesting things in its production, and I felt really bad about ranking it as low as I did.

A nostalgic memory was unlocked here, as this was a song my circle of friends were into at the time.
Personally, I gravitated to "24" a little more, but this has probably aged a little better.

I rank Andre low in a RD of yours, he nearly wins the RD. I rank a song where he's featured decently higher, doesn't make the top ten.

The trajectory from this to "Cold Heart" is definitely something.
This song feels like such an obvious late-2000's "me song", and yet, this was the first time I've heard it.

Been a while since I've missed out on two perfect rankings like this.  Can't really go wrong with Ladyhawke. I don't think there's a song of her's that I've heard that I don't at least really like. |

"LDN" would have been my #1 here, and it wouldn't have been close, but I have a fairly strong relationship with this song, too. I associate it particularly with a really good friend that I've lost contact with in recent times. Maybe this will be the kick in the ass that I need to message her and get back in touch.
