Yes. New Jack Harlow album is a flop 🤷🏻♂️ Tbh i’m not all that surprised by how Jack’s doing. I mean his last album didn’t do particularly well and that had First Class on it, while this one was a surprise release with no lead-off single. At the very least They Don’t Love It should chart, maybe Common Ground too. |

I really don't think Jack Harlow is trying to get a hit off of this album considering the lack of promo before it came out and just based off of how the album sounds, so I can't be too surprised that it isn't having a huge impact

I think Jack is going to perform just like Lil Yachty although a little better. It’s a matter of what this does for him in the long run as this album was more of proving something and giving quality over focusing on making hits.

Why is "Angels Like You" by Miley back in global top 50? Lol Are we just going to pretend that her last album didn't happen and self push a single from her previous album just like what happened to the Weeknd? It's going viral. I remember seeing her video singing the song live with million views. |

This is how i feel about See You Again getting more traction when Tyler just released a whole deluxe. The GP just loves doing this now where they don’t care about newer songs from artists and streams the older ones. |

I think it's now clear that people don't care when the song was first released - almost anything can become a hit now, but at the same time it cannot be TOO popular already. I don't think Shape of You by Ed Sheeran could become a big viral hit any more - it was too huge.

I think it's now clear that people don't care when the song was first released - almost anything can become a hit now, but at the same time it cannot be TOO popular already. I don't think Shape of You by Ed Sheeran could become a big viral hit any more - it was too huge. The very limit of that is stuff like Running Up That Hill and Sure Thing, which were decent hits in their day but are much bigger in 2022/2023. |

Running up the Hill got new attention from stranger things so I'm not sure if that exactly can be compared to the new random boosts songs are getting. Wouldn't be surprised if we soon get Taylors "Cruel Summer" getting a push with how stable it's been rising |

It's been so fascinating watching the rise of new k-pop acts like Fifty Fifty and NewJeans and how different their chart runs have been compared to older k-pop groups. Cupid is basically guaranteed to go top 40 this week which is so cool, I just wish Ditto was having that same success </3

Cupid and the NewJeans tracks differ from your regular K-Pop fluff, they resemble genres that are huge in the west right now. Most K-Pop are huge thundering pop songs with big choruses and they hit really hard, while Cupid and Ditto/OMG are more soft and chill tracks that fit right in with what's popular in the US right now. They resemble recent US smash hits like Kiss Me More and Boy's a liar. I think that's why they are resonating with the general public while Jimin is down to #97 with no streaming. |

Those countries account for ~50-60% of its streams, allowing it to rise quite a bit on global spotify. Whether it starts charting/climbing in other countries is yet to be seen but I'd be happy if it did! |
