I began listening to Röyksopp's music 16 years ago, and "Poor Leno" is still one of the best atmospheric house tracks I've ever heard.

You could pick just about any song from Hats, and I would have ranked it super high here. This just happens to be one of the best songs on the album.

right up until I posted the thread, I was debating back and forth between this and Let's Go Out Tonight
Maybe a hot take, but I'm of the opinion Let's Go Out Tonight is the best song on Hats and probably in my top 10 favorite songs of all time. |

While "Pulsewidth" is still my favorite track on Selected Ambient Works 85-92, I could listen to any track on the album dozens of times and not get tired of it.

"Xtal" gets all the looks, and deservedly so, but I'd argue that this is the superior track and one of the greatest electronic songs ever made.
(for the record, this was actually going to be in the third All-Timers (whoops, spoiler that a third one is happening) until it wound up here)
3 vs. 5, fine with the result either way.

this didn't initially strike me as a main contender for my #1, but it really grew on me when listening to this list & it's a perfect encapsulation of what Aphex Twin was doing around this time

When I was picking songs for the second All-Timers and looking at a Massive Attack song to include, specifically one from Mezzanine, my mind immediately went to the title track, as that has long been my favorite song on the album...but man, I gave "Risingson" a decent look, too. I'm glad you included it here, so it made my choice even easier. Wow, who could have seen this result coming? "Risingson" is just an incredible track which I now consider my favorite from Massive Attack. There was no doubt in my mind this song would be a frontrunner.
And wow, I knew users here on Pulse favor Daft Punk but I didn't expect "Voyager" to be the one to beat. I wouldn't consider it one of my top favorites from Daft Punk, but like "Heliosphan" I could listen to over and over and never get tired of it.
