Midnights selling more albums 7 months in than most albums are debuting with. Insane numbers… It’s great but, isn’t it a new re release though. I probably wouldn’t now, but back in the day I repurchased cds when there was a re release. It’s not that big of a surprise to me Taylor fans are buying a re release by her. The great part for her is she has fans that will keep purchasing practically the same project. Personally I would stream or purchase the new songs on ITunes. In my opinion it would be a lot more impressive if her album increased a bit more naturally like her older albums have been doing. I’m not dissing her btw. |

Taylor is looking to have at least 4 albums cross a million this year (Midnights, Lover, Folklore, Speak Now TV), with is a chance at least one more crosses over, too (1989). When was the last time an artist did that?

I gather the single-disc Tina Turner compilation is tracked separately from the double disc because it was not released simultaneously with the original album?

^I would think so. The album sales, digital song sales and streams from whatever songs are not shared in common, assuming there are any that are not included in the double disc would be counted toward the single disc compilation.
