This is the most frustrating thing in the world! Midnights should be at 10+ weeks by now but these random peaking from other artists for weeks at a time has prevented it. Kinda like All About That Bass blocking SIO for 10 weeks on the Hot 100. Taylor always has the unluckiest timing! |

Accumulating weeks at #1 is just a timing issue at the end of the day. Personally, I'd rather have a 1 week #1 album that sells 5 million copies than a 10 week #1 album that sells 3 million copies anyday. Regardless, Midnights is doing swell. It's gonna end up selling more albums than any other since, what, 25?

"Poor" Taylor doesn't stack up the number of weeks on top and still destroys everyone else in overall performance. She got her peak, now let the rest of her numbers do the talking.

Yes, how unlucky she must be, with only a combined 61 weeks at #1 on the Billboard 200 already, with two other albums that have spent 11 weeks on top. This is generally how the charts work. It's a mixture of long-running #1's and one-weekers that always come up to interrupt those runs. It's impossible to win every time, and trust me, she already has the coins and the clout. Her reputation isn't suffering.

UPDATE: Stray Kids’ 5-Star (JYP/Imperial/Republic) will open at #1 in the 200-225k range, Morgan Wallen’s One Thing at a Time (Big Loud/Mercury/Republic) will remain in the runner-up position and ENHYPEN’s Dark Blood (BELIFT LAB/Geffen) will rumble with Taylor Swift’s Midnights (Republic) for third place.
This week's Top 10 should see the entry of at least five new titles.
Stray Kids (JYP/Imperial/Republic): 200-225k
ENHYPEN (BELIFT LAB/Geffen): 80-90k
Jelly Roll (Stoney Creek/Broken Bow): 60-65k
Foo Fighters (Roswell/RCA): 58-63k

^Quite a nice week for debuting albums. Too bad I don't see them remaining in the top 10 for long if at all after this week due to being either pure sales dependent or not having a bonafide current hit.

I expected Jelly Roll to have similar numbers to Hardy (I think he did about 55k earlier this year.). The fact that he's approaching Luke Combs numbers is a bit of a shock to me.
Also, is this just the 2nd time Dangerous would be out of the Top 10?

If this is final numbers it will be week 4
With the consistency of the week to week numbers, even if Dangerous does bounce out, it will come right back the next week
At 122 weeks in the top 10 and counting, less than a year away from being the record holder
