I know it’s mostly due to this song, but it brings me SO much joy to see that Kacey has basically the same amount of monthly listeners as Morgan Wallen on Spotify. That is so huge honestly. Kacey took such an unconventional path with her career and chose not to play the game, and it really worked out for her in the end. I’m not super big on Zach Bryan but this track was a super smart move for both of them. May Kacey continue to receive her flowers! It's crazy that this is the highest charting single she's had on country radio in TEN years. It should out-peak "Blowin' Smoke" pretty soon, too. 👏

I understand that radio relies on call-out scores, but it is kind of frustrating to see radio absolutely stall this song out when this has been an absolute monster on streaming, sales, YouTube, etc. Like I wasn't expecting this week to be this tumultuous with it losing over 100 spins. I hope next week it turns things around, as this song for me is too good to get lost in the 20s.

I’m sorry but the fact that this went #1 on the hot 100, and is still healthily in the top 5 of that chart shows how much a joke that country radio is.
Y’all rely on callouts of a small group of like minded individuals, that are incredibly biased, but this song has like 300+ million streams, and will reach 1 Billion in the next year or so. What a joke.

And that’s why I don’t listen to country radio anymore. The Olympics you have to perform to make it anywhere on the format is mind-boggling. Not only that, but it’s the same old types of songs from the same boring people that get nearly all the airplay, so you wind up missing out on such incredible releases and amazing songs like this one.
This deserves to be a multi-week chart topper, and the fact that it will likely stall out in the 20s is unacceptable. The country radio industry needs an overhaul imo.

Yeah it's true but every now and then when country radio did not screw up and actually helped a few females break out , it was good But just wish the numbers could be much and much bigger

So happy for them! An outrage they are not performing on the show though

I think a big part of why country radio struggles with songs like this and “Something In The Orange” is they don’t sound like anything else on country radio and just feel completely out of place.

I do think if a red hot radio artist released this it would do better, but also this songs success does speak for itself regardless. That and I do think it is important to note that this does really stand out on radio, like this is a slow ballad and a very slow song for country radio standards and even country ballad standards. It deserves more success than it will probably get on country radio, but sometimes the radio charts are unfair or confusing.

This hit #1 on Hot 100 and won a Grammy and will most likely win a CMA/ACM and CMT. I think they gave up on country radio a long time ago!

Yeah, I get the vibe that they don't care about whether or not country radio plays it (or any radio format, for that matter). It's a big hit without it and now a Grammy-winning song, so any country airplay it gets simply by releasing it to the platform is icing on the cake.
Country radio seems like such a challenging game you must play if you want that hit, especially for females.
It's like an artist needs some perfect combination of a strong Nashville label, momentum, the right song, lots of ass-kissing, AND a penis to get to the top.
As many have stated on these boards, country radio is becoming less and less relevant. This song is an example of that.

Ugh, this really deserved so much better, but it was stalling out for a while now. Wish it could have done more, but we move on regardless and both acts are successful regardless of radio so it doesn't hurt that much.

It is insane that radio wouldn't make this a multi week #1 let alone a top 10. Biggest streaming song of the year that is a full on country song by two insanely popular country artists. Every year listenership on radio falls and the juggernauts scratch their heads as to why...

Also went recurrent on Mediabase last night unfortunately. This song really deserved better and at least Top 20, even if neither artist is that much of a radio artist. It was great to hear Kacey Musgraves on the radio for a while though. This song's performance just leaves me sad.

400+ million streams on Spotify and #1 on the hot 100, and country radio couldn’t even give it a top 20 peak, but pushed “Mind On You” to #1 a few weeks ago with like 12 million streams… the jokes really do write themselves.
