In that case:
Born to Die - "Summertime Sadness" Paradise - "Ride" Ultraviolence - "Ultraviolence" Honeymoon - "High by the Beach" Lust for Life - "God Bless America – and All the Beautiful Women in It" NFR! - Either "Venice Bitch" or "Doin' Time" Chemtrails Over the Country Club - "White Dress" Blue Banisters - "Arcadia" Did You Know... - "A&W"
Considering most of those were singles, I think her and her team (for the most part) pick the right singles for the albums.

I don't think her team has any word in that.
She always made singles the songs she was posting short videos of - songs she likes
At least I think

Hmmmmmmmm... I feel like my album ranking changes every time, lol. Picking a fav song was pretty easy except for LFL, UV and Paradise.
1) NFR! - California 2) Honeymoon - The Blackest Day 3) Lust For Life - 13 Beaches (this was hard, honorable mentions to "Heroin," "Change" and "White Mustang") 4) Ultraviolence - Old Money (honorable mentions to "Cruel World" and "West Coast") 5) Chemtrails - Yosemite 6) Born To Die/Paradise - Blue Jeans/Ride ("Gods & Monsters" is neck and neck with "Ride") 7) Blvd - Grandfather Please... 8) Blue Bannisters - Thunder

In other news Born to chart

But I think changes do happen in the middle. #1 and last place(s) do not change. My last ranking I had Chemtrails last, lol. I think my problem was it was too similar to NFR! when it came out. And following up that album was always going to be diminishing returns using such a similar sonic palette. But now I love it, one of her most consistent albums tbh, not a bad song to be found. It just doesn't have the crazy highs of the albums above it IMO.

Ling-Ling I get what you mean for Chemtrails I did not really like it months after the release, but looking back it is Lana's album I listen to the most in past year or so. Also, I kinda liked White dress after the release and it was in my top 3 from the album, now not only is the last, but I find it as the only truly unlistenable Lana song.

I love Lana and have always been a pretty big consumer of her music, but I couldn't get into Chemtrails and Blue Banisters and haven't really revisted them much at all. I think it was just too much music in a short period and it all kinda blended together for me.
To be honest, NFR was her last album I had on heavy rotation. While Blvd was a more interesting album to me, her last three haven't grabbed me as much as NFR and the albums that came before it. : /

It was too similar to BB and did not really like it. But was listening to it as a background music a lot and then some songs just started to pop out and really grabbed my attention. I would suggest you just play it without much a thought and you will have some songs/melodies stuck in your head and you would want to relisten...

It just doesn't have the crazy highs of the albums above it IMO. I also like it more now than then, however I find it’s arguably her most highs/lows album for me. White Dress, title track, Tulsa Jesus Freak, and Yosemite (underrated as hell) are absolutely spectacular catalog high marks, while stuff like Not All Who Wander Are Lost, Dance Til We Die, and Breaking Up Slowly are some of my least fav Lana songs. Then the rest are just very decent. So it’s the most mixed bag album for me (well, LFL kinda is too). Anyways, fav songs from each BTD - title track Paradise - Ride (duh) UV - Black Beauty (s/o to the ever slept on Sad Girl) Honeymoon - The Blackest Day NFR - Cinnamon Girl (though like 6 others 100% deserve this spot too, ugh this fucking album) Chemtrails - White Dress Blue Bannisters - Thunder DYK - Kintsugi (maybe unpopular opinion that this is her songwriting pinnacle so far)

So after my Honeymoon binge recently, I’ve been on a full blown Lana binge, and Blue Bannisters has finally opened up for me! I always just liked 3-4 tracks before, but I actually have come to like the whole album in recent weeks. I would probably even rank it above Paradise, LFL, and Chemtrails now.
I was sleeping big time on Text Book, Arcadia, Black Bathing Suit, Beautiful, and Nectar of the Gods which had all been skips for me before. I think all the slow balladry of the album can come off dull at first, but if you invest the time a lot of them really open up. And while I always did like the title track and Wildflower Wildfire, they have elevated to my absolute top tier Lana tracks now. Man that title track is just phenomenal. I can now officially say I like all her albums again.

She has a quote from her Vogue Italia shoot that implies she has basically ditched Lasso being a “country” album in favor of “southern gothic” (whatever that means lol).
Thank goodness tbh, I’m over this whole country trend and never was particularly excited over Lana doing it. But I think this confirms we’ll prob be waiting until well into 25 for this album now.

Think I Can Fix Him by Taylor Swift. Not only is it Lana coded, I feel like it fits the Southern Gothic vibe.

I hadn’t even considered the possibility they’re two separate albums. It is Lana, so I suppose that could be. But she’s also the queen of renaming announced albums, so that’s probably still more likely.

Yeah, the pause is too long She is always super inspired and productive, so maybe 2 albums is not impossible. We also know she probably has 2 more albums One with covers- standards And one full country with Nikki Lane. Nikki herself confirmed this and I think the album was on the verge of veing released, but do not remember what happened. They even had concerts together

Now this is a fantastic selection of songs!
