Lol this has bothered me too. Considering this started charting at the end of last year, there's no reason for pop radio to have taken this long to decide what to do with a song that is clearly more appropriate for fall/winter. I can totally see pop radio using the fact that it's summer as a reason to let this start falling, which is frustrating, because arguably this could have gotten at least a top 5 peak had they not taken forever to decide what to do with it. At this rate, it would take until this upcoming fall to make #1 lol.

Yeah, winter was still a perfectly fine time for this to smash and there was zero reason they couldn’t have taken it to a top 5 peak by March. The feet dragging didn’t make any sense, the song is conventionally hooky and they could easily observe how well it was holding on streaming all winter.

I always thought part of the reason I Remember Everything never took off on the format is maybe it had too much of a late summer vibe and by the time CHR started with it, summer was over. But I guess not, since they don’t care here lol. Of course there’s Cruel Summer too, but that actually was massive last summer and it’s just such a huge and hooky song there was no way they were gonna just dump it after summer (or people streaming it). Idk, hearing about summer in winter is less annoying to me too than vice versa lol.

I just realized this made #14 in February, which means this has only moved up four spots in about three months. I know the spin count was a bit lower back then, but still, there's no excuse for this being only slightly above where it was several months ago.

Ugh, I didn't want my theory to be right, but sadly it was. Pop radio should have latched on during the winter months when streaming was still good. The fact that this made #14 in February and only climbed 5 positions in three months is ridiculous. Oh well, at least it was able to make #1 on Hot AC. Final update, RIP!
