I’ve been looking for the song “Will This Be The Day” for a long time thinking it was a Chris Hillman solo album since Billboard only recognizes him on the song. Then realized it’s on their Pages of Life compilation. I’ll end up getting the song plus their other hits from this new compilation though since they’ll be remastered and sound better probably. My favorite Desert Rose Band song is undoubtedly “I Still Believe In You”

Glad we don’t have to wait too long for the deluxe Leather album. I intentionally did not buy the first part in anticipation there was going to be the deluxe coming out that also included the Carrie duet. I assume the deluxe will have both part 1 and 2 included?

Per press release, it is his first album for Warner Music Nashville and the first of his Cash Cabin Series, which is a collection of albums recorded at the famed studio in Hendersonville, TN, that was owned by Johnny and June Carter Cash and is now owned by their son, John Carter Cash. Johnson spent three weeks recording about 30 songs there, sleeping in his bus that was parked outside so that he could remain immersed in the creative space.
