It's weird, it feels like half the time Sam Hunt barely cares about making music as it feels like he should have been so much bigger than what he is, his career is fine enough, but it should have been more.

I am SAT for new Sara Evans. I heard “Pride” and absolutely loved it. If that song is any indication, bboat11 is correct that Unbroke will be the REAL heartwrenching divorce album. Her voice has aged like the finest wine.

One of my favorite Diffie songs “It’s Always Somethin’” didn’t make the Hixtape album.

Since there is no listening party for it I have to say the Joe Diffie, Mark Wills & Nate Smith version of “So Help Me Girl” is really good.

Very thankful my favorite Diffie song (Bigger Than The Beatles) got good artists I enjoy on it. It's going to be so fun to have a reimagined version of that song. Also added the Darius/Hailey collab, Reba/Jake collab, Mark/Nate collab, and Lauren/Kameron collab to my library. Not super familiar with most of Diffie's catalog but I don't care about/dislike the rest of the artists on the album which doesn't make me want to seek them out.
I'm loving this revisted hits projects for some of these legacy artists. So smart to introduce new audiences to your older material by including newer artists. Loved B&D's album a few years ago and excited Terri is following suit too. Excited for all of those collabs other than Lainey and Paul.
Also Beyonce's album is phenomenal. SO glad she featured so many up-and-coming black country artists. All their social media posts about being featured on B's album were so cute. I'd love to see Beyonce perform some of these tracks in country spaces (ACMs, CMTs, CMA Fest, etc.). Will be interesting to see how included or excluded Bey and this album are from the country award shows and Grammy categories.

I saw Jamie O'Neal live a couple weeks ago, and she talked about her NEW ALBUM COMING OUT THIS SUMMER!!!!!
No details available yet, but she performed 3-4 songs from it, and they were all SUPERB! A major standout was "John Deere Letter", which twists the concept of a Dear John letter to be about a wife who is jealous of her husband's obsession with his tractor, so she leaves him a "John Deere Letter" and hits the road while he's out messing around in the field. Sounded like a big ol' hit to me, in a perfect world!
She also talked about how this album is going to be COUNTRY AF!!! As in, her favorite instrument is fiddle, and her husband's is steel, and they are going out of their way to LOAD IT UP with both! Expect it to be a major neo-trad 180 from the Sometimes record.

Also, I just have to say....new album from Sara, new album from Terri, new album from Lorrie, new album from Jamie..... And Jo Dee's been posting clips from the studio lately mentioning a new album coming soon too...
2024 is turning into a BLESSED year for those of us who are fans of the '90s ladies!!!!
{Spoiler} Martina and Faith, take note!
Edit: God, George freaking Strait still in the works too. I know he's not a '90s lady, but adding him to the mix, this year is literally giving me EVERYTHING!!

LMAO the funny thing is, both of those thoughts crossed my mind when I made that post, and I knew that you might point it out but I decided to risk it anyway!
Jamie may be early '00s, but she's the same age as the '90s wave of Martina/Shania/Faith/Trisha/Deana/Terri etc. She just got a late start
