I saw Jamie O'Neal live a couple weeks ago, and she talked about her NEW ALBUM COMING OUT THIS SUMMER!!!!!
No details available yet, but she performed 3-4 songs from it, and they were all SUPERB! A major standout was "John Deere Letter", which twists the concept of a Dear John letter to be about a wife who is jealous of her husband's obsession with his tractor, so she leaves him a "John Deere Letter" and hits the road while he's out messing around in the field. Sounded like a big ol' hit to me, in a perfect world!
She also talked about how this album is going to be COUNTRY AF!!! As in, her favorite instrument is fiddle, and her husband's is steel, and they are going out of their way to LOAD IT UP with both! Expect it to be a major neo-trad 180 from the Sometimes record.
3 albums in the same decade from Jamie?! Someone get her on the phone to Adele to work her magic lol. Three albums in five years! If she keeps this up for the whole decade, she could potentially be the most prolific female country artist of the 2020s!!
Female Zach Bryan tea

Female Zach Bryan tea The difference in vocal ability between these two artists tho. Would be like comparing Vince Gill and Priscilla Block.

Am I the only one who thinks both Zach Bryan and Priscilla Block are perfectly fine vocally and plenty talented?

Am I the only one who thinks both Zach Bryan and Priscilla Block are perfectly fine vocally and plenty talented? No, I'd say their sales and streaming numbers put you in the majority! I don't have a problem with Priscilla, because she has been improving with every release. But Zach's biggest talent is that everything that comes out of his mouth is merely an approximation of whatever pitch was intended :( But anyway, I don't mean to derail the thread. I'll fade back into obscurity now :)

Man, they just keep cranking out albums for Morgan Wade. Very different strategy than we see with most, especially since they haven't even attempted to break her at radio since the initial attempt ("Wilder Days") scraped top 30 around 2 years ago. Good for her that she's been able to release so much music with Sony, all without radio success.

Carly Pearce announced tonight on IG Live that her album release got moved up by one week - June 7th I bet it's to correlate with a push week for "We Don't Fight Anymore." They're probably going ahead and planning out the date for that. The only reason I see why they'd move it up.

She made it sound like it was related to CMA Fest and some kind of show there - but you're probably right.

This feels like pure speculation on my part, but there's a strong sense that a certain superstar is gearing up to drop a new album, possibly on June 14th. Considering this, she might be cautious about avoiding overshadowing by another artist's release around the same time. It's all just a hunch for now .

Not sure of the reason for the vagueness/secrecy, but I’m guessing Luke Combs?

Indifferent With the album being released in June, I wonder if they plan on getting “I’m Not Pretty” Top 15/Top 10. Also curious to see what her next country format single is. I’ve gotten the chance to listen to “Indifferent” multiple times & it honestly feels better suited for Pop formats.
