"Why Me" by Kris Kristofferson peaked at number 16 but was number 6 on the 1973 year-end. On that note, Paula Cole finished in the 1998 year-end top 10 with "I Don't Want to Wait" despite only peaking at #11.

The first song to cumulatively spend a year on the Hot 100: Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons' "December 1963."

And then The Bones by Maren Morris did it in 2020, finished at 8 on the YE while peaking at 12.

That is not that unusual considering Celine is universally loved. That said, and we love to dance to remixes of her songs.

"Why Me" by Kris Kristofferson peaked at number 16 but was number 6 on the 1973 year-end. It didn't even crack the Top 15 in the weekly list yet was close to Top 5 in the year-end?!?!

Similar to Linda Ronstadt, UB40 had 6 top 40s and only 1 was not a cover.
