Born in St. Louis, Janae Wherry first gained attention with the a song "A Thousand Jugs", a reworking of Vanessa Carlton's "A Thousand Miles". Her 2023 single "Pound Town" with Tay Keith went viral on TikTok and spawned internet memes. The remix with Nicki Minaj peaked at #21 on the R&B/Hip Hop chart.

49. Shotta Flow - NLE Choppa

Born in Memphis, Bryson Potts released his first song "No Love Anthem" in 2018 under the name YNR Choppa. He later changed his name to NLE Choppa and released the single "Shotta Flow" in 2019. It peaked at #12 on the rap chart, #14 on the R&B/Hip Hop chart, and #36 on the Hot 100. It would go on to spawn six sequels, with the most recent, "Shotta Flow 7", being released in December 2023.

Formed in Oakland by MC Hammer, Oaktown's 3.5.7 consisted of Sweet L.D. (Suhayla Sabir), Lil P (Phyllis Charles), and Terrible T (Tabatha Zee King-Brooks). Their debut album Wild & Loose was released in 1989. The single "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah" peaked at #9 on the rap chart.

The group went their separate ways in 1992.

Formed in Atlanta, Travis Porter consists of stepbrothers Ali (Lakeem Grant) and Quez (Donquez Woods) and their friend Strap (Harold Duncan). They were originally called the Hard Hitters, but eventually changed their name to Travis Porter to attract more attention. They increased their profile via touring and mixtapes, and in 2010 released their debut single "Make It Rain". It peaked at #9 on the rap chart and #15 on the R&B chart, and would later be included on their debut album From Day 1.

49. Shotta Flow - NLE Choppa: Ooh, okay well at least my #50 shows up next. I wish this could have been a spot lower but I'll take this reveal now, haha. Wow at 4 #49 ranks.

48. Yeah, Yeah, Yeah - Oaktown's 3.5.7: With this being my#43, I didn't care too much for this and am fine with this showing up. Wow at another 4 same ranks - with 4 #48s here. This is impressive.

47. Turn This Mutha Out - MC Hammer: This is a fun song that I liked well enough from MC Hammer that I gave it a #30 ranking. I still prefer a number of other songs from him over this one.

45. So Seductive - Tony Yayo feat. 50 Cent

Born in the Jamaica neighborhood of Queens, Marvin Bernard started out as a member of G-Unit with 50 Cent and Lloyd Banks, taking on the name Tony Yayo. His career was temporarily halted due to year-long stint in prison, during which time G-Unit started a "Free Yayo" campaign. Following his release he dropped his debut solo single "So Seductive" in 2005. Featuring 50 Cent, it peaked at #12 on the rap chart and #7 on the R&B chart, and received a VIBE Award nomination for Best Club Banger.

Fun fact: Tony Yayo was the inspiration behind wrestler John Cena's "You Can't See Me" taunt.

44. No Pigeons - Sporty Thievz

Sporty Thievz was formed in Yonkers, New York by King Kirk, Big Dubez, and Marlon Bryant Brando. They're best known for their 1999 single "No Pigeons", an answer song to TLC's "No Scrubs". It topped the rap chart and peaked at #5 on the R&B chart and #12 on the Hot 100.

The song was written and first recorded by Mr. Wood$ and DJ Rhude under the title "No Vultures". It was released independently and eventually made its way into the hands of Funkmaster Flex, who felt the song would be perfect for "Sporty Thievz". The song was then re-recorded with the title changed to "No Pigeons".

Following its success Sporty Thievz recorded rebuttals to two Destiny's Child hits, "Bills, Bills, Bills" (titled Can't Pay Your Bills") and "Independent Women" (titled "Independent Men").


Marlon Bryant Brando was was struck and killed by a drunk driver in The Bronx in 2001 at the age of 22.

Formed in California by Mitch McDowell, General Kane was originally called General Caine. They bounced around from record label to record label before finally landing at Motown. With some changes in the lineup and to reflect their new sound, their name was changed to General Kane. Their 1986 single "Crack Killed Applejack" was their biggest hit, peaking at #12 on the soul chart.

Following the group's disbandment, Mitch worked as a bail bondsman. In 1992 he and his nephew were murdered.

Shaquille O'Neal may be more well-known as an NBA legend, but he also pursued a career in music, releasing his debut album Shaq Diesel in 1993. The single "(I Know I Got) Skillz" is his biggest hit, peaking at #3 on the rap chart, #20 on the R&B chart, and #35 on the Hot 100. It's been certified gold and helped the Shaq Diesel album go platinum. Samples "It's My Thing" by EPMD and "Large Professor" by Main Source.

Shaq currently tours and produces EDM under the name DJ Diesel.

So Seductive - Tony Yayo feat. 50 Cent: Ugh booo, I had a feeling this would be one of my first high ranks Iwould have lost. :'( Sad to see this show up as I do really like this song a lot and enough to give it a #6 ranking. It was such a fire jam when this was out. Ugh so many ranks in the 40s. :'( But happy that this at least didn't show up in the Bottom 5.

44. No Pigeons - Sporty Thievz: Dangg, another high ranking of mine this time with my #11 showing up. :( Of course this is no "No Scrubs" but it's still a memorable, silly song that I enjoyed. It's better to not take it so seriously, of course.

43. Crack Killed Applejack - General Kane: Oh okay, finally one of my lower ranks show up with this being my #45. Didn't know this before this game and didn't really care for it while listening to it. It's just alright.

42. (I Know I Got) Skillz - Shaquille O'Neal: Aww even though I only gave this a #33 ranking, I'm a bit sad to see this song show up this soon. I was hoping to see Shaq do a little better and rank a bit higher. This is kinda fun and didn't mind this but not a big stand out for me either.

41. UP! (Remix) - LoveRance feat. 50 Cent: Ooh this is my #34. This is another song that is just alright for me but not a major standout.
