I wonder if Poets might get added to The Eras Tour or if she will perform the album during the acoustic set 100% that one of the two will occur. For me, I am 70% confident that she will add a Poet set even if it requires her to cut songs. It would really undermine and basically destroy the album for it to be neglected on her tour that will go on for at least another 8 months.

Listening to Speak Now and Red back to back and wow what a moment in time. No wonder 1989 smashed and propelled her to legend status. See when you do talentry?

So we are thinking the music video for "Fortnight" will be black and white to match the aesthetic? Either that or sepia toned?

Hopefully we get higher budget music videos than Midnights (although I did enjoy Anti-Hero and the aesthetic of Lavender Haze, but the other two were boring)

I would say that about the Rep through Folklore trio. Those albums are just phenomenal in entirely different ways and I think it’s the combination of them that propelled her to where we are now (despite her doing her best efforts at the time to sink both Rep and Lover with basically the worst possible single choices).

I love those too of course. Her single choice is baffling at times but I'm also under the impression that it has ended up working as some sort of "accidental" gimmick to propel the love for her discography as a whole. Albums full of hidden gems overshadowed by questionable singles if you may. I'm doing 1989 tomorrow, rep on Sunday, and so on as a countdown for TTDP. I was catching up today with Speak Now and Red

I hope the album isn't only Jack Antonoffs minimalist synth-pop sound.

I start work at 7:40 a.m. on release day. I am going to try waking up at 5 a.m. to listen to it. Please no surprises Taylor, I simply do not have time for them lol.

One-week aways, so I guess no lead single. Oh well!

Signed vinyls and CDs (of The Manuscript edition) are on her US store now. She's pushing for a milestone methinks.
EDIT: According to the store trackers, there were 10k CDs available which sold out in 9 minutes. Vinyls are sold out now too but they're not sure how many were available.

One-week aways, so I guess no lead single. Oh well! She’s doing a lead single, it’s just when the album drops. Honestly, I’m not a fan of this new strategy in the streaming era since it makes the big problem of the streaming era even worse (eg you can’t get hits long after album release). Artists who have several potential hits should be maximizing them pre-album release these days imo, otherwise we’re gonna start ending up with one single for a whole era being the new norm. Imagine if this album is stacked with hits or something, what a waste that would be…

Honestly, even though it may be less than favorable to wait, her holding off on the lead until release is kind of smart, when a lot of eras burn through 2-3 singles before release and as a result stunt their longevity quite heavily. With an artist as big as Taylor she can hold off and still find success with subsequent singles (because she has enough popularity and pull to do so) and still extend her album's run. I'm sure the 2nd leg of US Dates for The Eras Tour was also implemented to support the album as well.

Unrelated to anything but I'm rewatching The Eras Tour on Disney+ and over the last few months, "Delicate" has crept up to be top tier for me. I'd probably place it top 5 in Taylor's discography. It's also one of my favourite moments of the tour. I love the stage visuals for it.

Also, I totally forgot about the anti hero remixes. It’s possible that sometime on Friday or in the days following, we’ll not only get the album but a few remixes of whatever the leading track is, a video, and possibly even a whole other album’s worth of unexpected songs because why not?

According to the Target ad this week, they will have all 4 CD variants of TTPD in store for $13.99 each, in addition to the exclusive Phantom Clear vinyl.

I cannot even imagine how many copies Target will pump out! Heard the Vinyl plant in Nashville is going into Overtime pressing her vinyl's. All her albums keep selling wildly in vinyl.

I guess if you zoom into that new photo you can see "ssner," unsurprisingly implying Dessner will be credited on this album.
