People in the YouTube comments saying she made history. Um? It was a good performance but nothing special or unique. We also need a music video. Too many songs these days don’t have videos (especially ones with any kind of effort), and I worry about the future of the VMAs

I love how Chappell shoots a flaming arrow into the castle then proceeds to sing “It’s fine, it’s cool”.

We need a music video now! Chappell has the budget to pull off something epic.

I don't think the performance played to her strengths at all. And it was the wrong song choice for the VMAs. The staging was nice though IMO.

Those kind of stagings can be seen at Eurovision Song Contest like ten times per year. I liked the choreo, but beyond the shooting the arrow there wasn't much of a storyline (I watched it once so might have missed something).

Considering she has the most potential out of the current "pop girls" it seemed a bit 3/5 in the end.

I loved the performance. Nine times out of ten I prefer a great set and production, a straight to the point theme, great dancing and great vocals than cheap shock factor. She's here to perform and she did just that

No idea if this will end up on a new album, but HOT TO GO is from the old album, this was a new single released in April 2024.

#1 now still with 1000+ daily gains and no signs of slowing down, wonder how much higher it will go and how long it will stay at #1!! Odd that it's stalled though on Hot AC and hasn't progressed too far yet on AC. Its streaming is still very strong, so this might be a rare instance where it reaches its airplay peak while it's still near its streaming peak, and could last for quite a while longer.
